RUSSIA IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Is “Holy Russia”  holy again?

One cannot help wonder at the geopolitical situation that existed before the Russian Revolution which saw Russia marked on even Western maps and globes of the world as HOLY RUSSIA. 

- Russia, a country which has never had ties with Rome, at least not in any hierarchical sense ever since its “conversion” to Christianity 1000 years ago.

Yet it was so religious it had altars every few feet on the streets of Moscow.

During the Communist era Holy Russia was persecuted, tortured, imprisoned and murdered on a grand scale. The grandeur of the religion was equal to and coincident with the “grandeur”. if one can use that word, of its suffering.

During this time the West was ostensibly the bastion of Christianity. 

But oh how the mighty West has fallen!

Russian society is still suffering from the effects of 70 years of communist suppression.

Societies do not recover quickly.  Not all resisted the communist propaganda and remember most were born INTO IT!

Churches may be now full but not all are believers. 

There is still a high abortion rate.

 There is still no government legislation against the mass murder of innocent children and there is still the problem of the infiltration of the least desirable aspects of western culture now that the iron curtain has been parted, into russian society, particularly amongst the young.

This article may be an add for Christianity – for the West to return again to God but the parallels between the rise and fall of nations exhibited in the last 100 years and the rise and fall of Christianity in their cultures is stunning and cannot be missed, dismissed  or denied. 

When the West was God fearing it prospered. As did the Russian nation before the Revolution, notwithstanding the propaganda to the contrary. Now that it has abandoned Christianity to a large degree the West is falling and Russia having once again embraced Christianity is on the rise.

But what about China you say.

I have this to say about China.

There are exactly two pieces to the spiritual puzzle of China.

The first is that the spiritual basis of Confucianism is charity. Just as it is with Christianity.

This is a sign of God.

Second. As far as the rapproachement between the Chinese culture and Christianity is concerned, one sees the same fault of the Church in Rome that caused the split with the Eastern church in 1054.AD as what happened during the Missionary period in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Chinese court was prepared to accept Christianity  during the Christian missionary outreach period but was not prepared to abandon its reverence for its ancestors, which the Roman leadership took as idol worship, which it WAS NOT.  As a result the Roman court abandoned the Chinese welcome into the Christian fold – NOT THE CHINESE COURT: just as the Roman court caused the split with the Eastern church several hundred years previously.

Enough said.

China, like Russia has turned from its Communist past.

The trend is clear. Russia and China will continue to rise …….  and their allies; the demonic USA and EU will continue to fall and eventually collapse, just as predicted for that Babylon in the last book of the New Testament, and just as predicted by the current astute economic and financial observers

It is not one or the other however. Atheism is still strong in Russia and China and genuine Christianity still has a strong influence in the West.

This will remain so right up to the final trumpet call of the heavenly messengers -

and the separation of the just and the unjust at the Final Judgment - also mentioned in that same Apocalypse, which has opened our eyes so wide to this current time period, and in such a glaring fashion!
