Kenosha Officials to Seek Federal Assistance

TRUNEWS with RICK WILES The Kenosha County Board of Supervisors has held an emergency meeting today to formally request federal assistance to deal with unrest in the City of Kenosha that has followed a police shooting involving a black man. Board member Zach Rodriguez said the county is seeking U.S. Marshals Service assistance after 300 “protesters” rioted on Monday night, setting for to buildings throughout the city of roughly 100,000. He told Reuters: “Essentially, our city was burned to the ground, building by building. Enough is enough.” But, for the “protesters,” it’s not enough. They are demanding the officer who fired seven shots at 29-year-old Jacob Blake, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down, be fired and criminally charged. But new evidence emerging from an eyewitness is adding context to the incident. Previously, the establishment media has focused on a grainy, 20-second video of Blake walking away from two Kenosha police officers who have their guns drawn. But, a new video shows what happened just before that video clip – suggesting Blake got into a physical altercation with the officers. Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Department of Justice, which is investigating the incident, has released no information. Residents of Kenosha are now bracing for a third night of destruction. The fires were so widespread on Monday night that firefighters from 30 different departments were called to the city to render assistance. That despite local police, with assistance from the Wisconsin National Guard, firing tear gas, rubber bullets, and smoke bombs intended to disperse the crowds. One eyewitness noted that most of the businesses destroyed during the riots were operated by black owners. Meanwhile, rioters in Portland took up Blake’s name as their new rallying cry as the city dealt with its 89th consecutive night of unrest and violence.
