Les Wexner Agrees to Deposition in Epstein-Related Lawsuit

TRUNEWS with RICK WILES According to a new report, former Victoria’s Secret owner Les Wexner has agreed to a deposition in a lawsuit involving Virginia Giuffre, an outspoken victim of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. CNN reports Wexner has agreed to answer written questions in the lawsuit involving Giuffre and Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz. However, the famed defense attorney and his legal team are pressuring Wexner to testify in person or on camera. Citing newly unsealed court documents, Dershowitz’ attorneys want Wexner to testify Sept. 4 in Columbus, Ohio, and have also subpoenaed a number of documents – particularly those involving Epstein, Giuffre, and any correspondence with the victim’s attorneys. In particular, they are looking for communication between Wexner’s legal team and any attorney representing Giuffre, as well as any documents related to “any offer, agreement, or promise Wexner made to help Epstein accusers.” To further ramp up the pressure on Wexner, Dershowitz publicly called him out Tuesday evening in the following tweets: “I challenge David Boies and Leslie Wexner to deny the following: Boies and his partner met with Wexner’s lawyers and told them that Virginia Guiffre was accusing Wexner of having sex with him on multiple occasions and making her wear Victoria Secret type lingerie … “What was the purpose of such a meeting if not a “shakedown”? Shakedown is the word used by Wexner’s lawyer and his wife to characterize the accusation.” Dershowitz has accused Giuffre and her attorneys of falsely accusing him of sex trafficking in a bid to extort money from Wexner. He has not explained how accusing him of being a pedophile would be sufficient to extort money from Wexner. Giuffre has sued Dershowitz for defamation, so now his attorneys are trying to depose Wexner to prove the alleged extortion attempt: “Giuffre’s lies to try to get money are in the process of being exposed. We know she wsore under oath that she had sex with Wexner and had her lawyers contact Wexner about it. If her lawyers never pursued a claim, it is because they recognized she lied under oath and perjured herself. We are going to prove that.” The CNN report notes that Wexner’s attorneys, however, have said most of the information Dershowitz’ legal team is requesting is protected by attorney-client privilege. They further told the judge in the case that “no extortion demand was ever made,” adding however, their client is willing to answer written questions to confirm his “lack of any relationship whatsoever with Ms. Giuffre.” The documents unsealed this week also include a filing by Giuffre’s attorneys in which they asked the court to allow the depositions of Wexner and his attorney to proceed. The judge in the case has scheduled a conference for next Monday to discuss the matter, and is likely to make a decision at that time regarding the depositions.
