This week we’re taking a look at what OffGuardian will be looking for in 2022.

1. Programmable digital currency

For the uninitiated, programmable digital currency is a form of digital currency that can be programmed … I hope that clears up any confusion.

Seriously, the central banks are exploring the possibility of issuing their own digital currencies. These central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) would be “programmable,” meaning either the bank issuing the currency or the company paying it out as wages would have direct control over their use.

The banks (or employers) would have the option to limit the use of the money they spend. You could limit how much of it, where, what it can be spent on, etc.

We published a long article last summer on the possible abuses of such a control system over money. Since then, further demands have been made for its introduction: Estonia and Ukraine want to test the system soon, and Japan is examining its feasibility .

This is definitely an important topic for human freedom and an important story to watch out for in 2022.

2. The shift from Covid to the climate

We’ve covered it a couple of times over the course of 2021, but we don’t think it’s off the table. Rather, expect this campaign to gain momentum.

Today, Yahoo News sets out its major concerns for the New Year:

In the new year: fight against COVID and climate change and strengthen our democracy

On Christmas Eve, the Guardian published another article in which Covid was equated with climate change; On December 17, the New York Times warned that the climate was an “emerging threat” to financial stability , while the New Statesman warned on December 16 that Covid was distracting from the “red alarm signals” of the climate and argued that the climate catastrophe is the bigger threat.

Caroline Lucas, who wrote in The Independent yesterday, re-rehashing an age-old argument, argues that if we can find money to fix the 2008 financial crisis (which we didn’t) and fight a global pandemic (which we have not done either) – then why can’t we put money into combating climate change? (we already do).

Her examples are well chosen, even if she does not understand why. Both the 2008 crash and the “pandemic” are deliberately created crises that serve as a pretext to divert huge amounts of taxpayers’ money into private hands. And that is exactly what every “green New Deal” would probably do.

We’ll see more of them as the year progresses.

Amusingly, the press seems to know we know because it is already working to prevent damage. The headline of the “Independent” today was : “Covid conspiracy groups may switch to climate misinformation in 2022, experts warn” [Covid conspiracy groups could switch to climate disinformation, experts warn ”, d. Translator].

3. Explain heart attacks that have not yet occurred

There were quite a few of these in 2021, especially in the second half of the year.

And not just heart attacks, articles popped up all over the media describing strokes, blood clots, and heart diseases that hadn’t actually occurred.

The Omicron variant initially spoke of cardiac symptoms that were not known in earlier variants.

Depression and anxiety have been reported to lead to a 5% increase in heart disease nationwide in the UK – they call it “post-pandemic stress disorder” .

The cold weather is also blamed for this . Young people who smoke weed are blamed for increasing heart problems, as is poor diet .

A vitamin deficiency apparently leads to an accumulation of strokes.

Many of these people who have skyrocketed heart attacks are “apparently fit” .

Why is the media pumping out statements of an increased risk of blood clots and related diseases?

Well, considering that the (untested and unnecessary) “vaccines” all have heart problems and blood clots as “very rare” complications, it doesn’t take a genius to put the pieces together.

This is a story we should all follow as we head into the new year.

BONUS: The “Are you serious?” Moment of the year

It’s only been two days but we already have a strong entry for the most ridiculous story of the year. In Israel, the first cases of … Tusch, drum roll … “Flurona” are reported:

Yes. The desperate need of the “pandemic” narrative for increasingly scary headlines has resulted in a hasty and barely coherent sequel. A real “Frankenstein versus the werewolf” moment.

Are they going to try in all seriousness to sell “Flurona” to people? Part of me really hopes so.

All in all, it looks like we have a busy year ahead at OffGuardian, and we haven’t even covered the ongoing war on freedom of expression or what the hell they are up to with Russia .
