On June 10th of this year, I publicly posted my prediction that within weeks we would see the opening skirmishes of Israel’s next war.  I wrote that this war may seem small to some outsiders, but that the war would have significant, long-term consequences.  At the time I made this prediction, Israel and the Palestinian Authority had been in a relative state of peace for years.  But just two days after my prediction, on June 12th, three Israeli teenagers disappeared. 

I knew that this was the first in a series of strategic opening moves orchestrated by Israeli covert intelligence services.  I told my wife that day that these teenagers would be found brutally murdered and that Israel would use the deaths as pretext for a prolonged bombing campaign against the Palestinians.  Not only did that prediction come to pass with exactness, but in the few weeks since hostilities erupted, the two sides have exchanged continual rounds of missile attacks, well over a hundred civilians have been killed (almost all of them Palestinian, as usual), and newspaper headlines are screaming about the significance of this new conflict.
