Hello Steve:
I am a long time listener (since short wave radio in the 90′s) of your
programs and have occasionally contacted you over the years. I have spoke
across the country on the continued violation of our civil liberties since
2002.
Although I am 59, I have been very healthy all of my life. I have never
smoke, taken drugs of any kind or even drank coffee. I exercise and was
able to do hand stand pushups at my age.
I suddenly became very weak in August of 2013. I was diagnosed with Acute
Lymphobalstic Leukemia after I was admitted to OHSU at Portland. I had 15
infusions of blood and given “hyper” chemo that they normally never give to
people over the age of 50 but gave to me because of my robust health.
They determined that I had a Philly positive mutation (gene 9 & 22
transmutate). Only about 200 adults get this and the mutation is usually
triggered by exposure to radiation. Nothing that the doctors can do
(including chemo) and I praise God because I am in his hands and still here
4 months later- The Lord is good.

Here on the Southwest Oregon Coast we have seen hundreds of dead seabirds along the shoreline, along with several sea lions and other sea life, over this past two seasons. I have talked to commercial fisherman along the docks, and every one of them has said that the catches are terrible or virtually non-existent, that several of them are docking their boats due to the failing production, growing awareness of the growing Fukushima radiation, and rising fuel cost that has shuttered much of the local commercial fishing industry.
Though the colder climate, rough seas, and prevailing high winds prevent many from beach combing and enjoying the coastline. The barren coastline, void of most life, is chilling to witness and even rather frightening at times.
In the last 3 years several residents in my community have either perished due to some form of cancer, or is recovering from a bout of it. It would seem that it is rather high for our community.
