In this 28 July 2026 published video, host Stefan Burns talks about the magnitude 7.1 earthquake (according to the JMA, USGS has it at 6.8) which just struck southern Japan causing buildings to collapse, bridges to buckle, and explosions to rip out across the country. I have been issuing a forecast for a powerful event to occur around this time due to the Full Moon conjoining the critical planetary alignment that is active, and the forecast was right on, unfortunately.

A powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture on Japan’s southern island of Kyushu on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, causing widespread chaos, critical structural damage, and triggering a frantic race against time for rescue crews. The intense shaking reached a maximum level of 7 on the Japanese seismic intensity scale, prompting immediate temporary tsunami advisories that were later lifted. Over 260,000 residents were advised to evacuate as emergency personnel flooded the region.

Part of the Aeon Shopping Mall collapsed during the initial shaking. An hour later, a massive secondary explosion—suspected to be caused by ruptured gas lines—ripped through the complex. The mall had only recently reopened after rebuilding from a deadly quake a decade prior. The historic, 400-year-old landmark Kumamoto Castle suffered severe structural impact. Video footage captured major portions of its ancient stone walls crumbling to the ground. Tremors buckled major highways, ruptured roads across the prefecture, and caused at least one bridge to fracture.

Terrifying scenes emerged from inside a Costco supermarket in Kumamoto, where shoppers scrambled for cover and screamed in panic as light fixtures swung wildly and massive shelves shook. Videos from vehicles on the road showed heavy trucks swaying violently back and forth as drivers were forced to a complete halt by the violent rolling of the earth.

Dozens of injuries have been reported, with witnesses recording audio of individuals trapped under collapsed debris inside buildings. The quake knocked out electricity to thousands of homes. At least one local hospital completely lost its ability to function due to a total blackout. Rescue efforts remain deeply perilous. Emergency teams are braving more than 60 aftershocks hitting the area every 10 to 15 minutes.
