Shocking! Four Marines Shot and Killed in Gun Free Zone!!!
Violating all principles of Progressive-Liberal logic, gunman Youssef Abdulazeez nevertheless took his rifle yesterday and shot 4 Marines dead at a military recruiting center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Academics and pinheads continue to be puzzled and amazed that a “gun free zone” once again did not deter an assassin from picking off four unarmed Marines like shooting ducks in a barrel.
Prog-Libs were heartened, however, by the fact that the Marines were unable to return fire, as they were unarmed – as are all of our military on U.S. soil other than MPs – via an executive order signed by President George Bush #41.
Rational people, of course, were still incredulous that our military are forbidden to wear firearms in public or on base, while they are trained and tasked to use them proficiently and professionally in the field. Apparently, to satisfy the gods of Politcal Correctness, going unarmed makes our military appear more “approachable” and “inclusive”, and somehow prevents them from indulging in the very savagery of unexpected terrorist combat for which they have been trained on our tax dollar.
Hopefully, the next mass murderer who plans to kill some of the fine men and women of our military will be sufficiently sensitive to realize that it is illegal to shoot and kill people in a gun free zone. Or better still, perhaps our leaders will realize that it is asinine that our military cannot be trusted to “keep and bear” firearms on their person as part of their normal military uniform, whether on base or in public, so that they have another option besides being sitting ducks in a barrel waiting for the police – with guns – to show up and address such a deadly situation.
