Why Do “Hindus” Hate Liberty? Here’s A Clue

OK, this blog post’s title is more provocative than it should be.

Hindus like Vivekananda, Ambedkar and Rajaji – many (Hindu) members of the Freedom Team of India - argue/d in favour of liberty and economic liberalisation.

But the BJP and the Hindutva brigade are DEAD AGAINST liberty. See these:

Ambedkar was one of the greatest Indian proponents of liberty. But he is hated by many “Hindus” because he took thousands of “Dalits” – their slaves – en-masse out of Hinduism into Buddhism.

But now Chandra Bhan Prasad has pointed out this alarming (alarming to “Hindus”) fact (see:

His has argued that “that India’s economic liberalization is about to do the unthinkable: destroy the caste system“. Where would that leave the Hindutva fanatics who can’t live without chamars as their cleaners?

Caste is a form of racism. To the extent caste exists, Hindus are RACISTS. Anyone who accepts the caste system is, in my view, racist. 

I have advocated the abolition of the caste system ever since I began to think – by age 12.

Let’s hope that Chandra Bhan Prasad is right in his prognosis of Hinduism. In the meanwhile I need to get in touch with Prasad and interest him in joining FTI.
