Crossing The Rubicon

The Cyprus government has not okayed the grab for deposits, but the banks are still closed and ATMs are probably out of cash by now. The fear that has spread throughout Europe is that their governments can steal the wealth of Italians, Greeks, French or anyone with savings. There is the sudden realization by some in this country that our government could steal from us, too.

Let me tell you, it is no surprise that governments steal. They do it all the time, just not so blatantly. Our government, since 1913 when the FED was created, has stolen 95% of the purchasing power of the dollar through inflation. It stole from us when they seized our Gold and then repriced it. Argentina just stole from their citizens by closing the banks then devaluing the currency. Anyone who held Argentina’s currency lost about 33%.

There has been considerable talk about our government seizing our tax-deferred retirement programs and our Gold and means testing social security. The only currency that will protect us from government thievery is Gold and Silver.

Let me tell you. If you walked across the street to your neighbor’s house and demanded he give you money at the point of a gun, you would be arrested if caught. The government can do what they will. The don’t care about our private property rights. They don’t care about the Rule of Law.

Mark this: The Rubicon has been crossed. The world now knows the governments promises are worth less than spit in a barrel.
