I started to write that I’m not into zombies, but then I thought, “I’ve seen most zombie movies, including “The Omega Man,” “I Am Legend,” “The Walking Dead,” “The Day of the Dead,” “Dawn of the Dead” and recently “World War Z.” I’ve read many zombie books, including even Stephen King’s “UR.” Zombies fascinate us. We like a good scare and I sense our large out of control government threatening us may play.

Now we have “Zombie, Inc.” written by Christine Dougherty. “Zombie Inc.” is sort of like ADT. It protects us from the zombies with elaborate electronic fencing and even live zombies. But…what if the zombies are becoming endangered? What if the Zombie Inc.’s whole business model is threatened? What if ADT hired burglars to break into non-ADT protected residences? What if viruses were created by virus-fighting software companies.

Christine Dougherty has written a book that I gave five stars. We meet Cole and trainee Dill from the assessment department of Zombie, Inc. They are the interface between the company and the customer and they see what’s happening and start raising questions that put their lives in danger. The book got me thinking about how our government is similar to “Zombie, Inc.” Now I’m scared!
