Are you offended? You got leprosy from being offended? If not, what’s the issue?

Ultimately it is to the comedians that one has to turn to for saying it as it is, for calling a spade a spade.

Here’s Steve Hughes, a British comedian born in Australia saying it as straight as it gets.

Did you get leprosy from being offended? If not, why does anyone have to care about your feeling offended!?

Now, I’ve also had a quick look at Steve Hughes’s page and don’t think he is a role model. Confused, perhaps, on his economics, as well.

But just like I disagree with Chomsky on most things, but agree with his support for free speech, one can disagree with Hughes and yet recommend his views on free speech.

There is no freedom of speech without a “right” (not obligation!) to offend. The truth does not care for collateral damage (offence) of believers in the untruth.
