BIG STINK: Villagers try to move dead whale, Burma

Myanmar Whale. Villagers attempt to move a dead whale from the shoreline in the township of Tone-Gwa, Yangon, Myanmar yesterday. According to scientists, the beaching of whales is defined as whales putting themselves in a suicidal position. Whales are known to beach themselves because they are injured or in a state of illness. Another reason why whales beach themselves, say scientists, is when the weather is too warm, the whales get starved causing mass stranding to occur. They are then left with no other choice but to breach themselves.
