Maria Zakharova has cheekily responded to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s bizarre words about Russian interference in US elections. The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, commented on the statement made by Facebook head about the interference of Moscow, Beijing and Tehran in preparation for the US elections in 2020, calling his words fake news.

“So much for the fake news on social media, his remarks are cheap and cheerful,” mocked Zakharova on her Facebook page on Monday, October 21.

Earlier, Zuckerberg in an interview with NBC said that Iran, Russia and China are making attempts to interfere in the upcoming US elections.

Eccentrically, whilst Facebook routinely claims to separate fake news from real the head of the hydra-corporation refused to provide proof of his weird claims that Russia had any interest let alone a track record of interfering in American elections.

Yet, as has been demonstrated, the United States routinely interferes in elections wherever they occur in the world; the US makes no secret of doing so and presumes the United States has a right to do so.

Earlier Monday it was reported that Facebook blocked four networks of accounts, three from Iran and one from Russia. The blocking took place as part of what it claims is the fight against foreign influence, the organization said.
