What They Do Not Tell You About the Music Industry
Whether you have gone to a music school or spent all your childhood looking at musicians from a TV screen thinking you know all there is about music, then you will be surprised to find out that there are some things about the industry that just do not come in the music teaching manual.
There is so much happening behind the scenes that are not open knowledge to the general public. Music artists go through a lot of things every day that do not just revolve around making music, playing instruments, or just having fun. In fact, there are a number of things that musicians do not like to do but are stuck doing because if they do not, they will not be able to reach the success which is the only thing everyone sees nowadays.
If you are a beginner musician who is just starting out, it would be best to consult professionals in the field like Peter Graigs – a revered recording artist and multiinstrumentalist known for reaching quick success in the music industry. Like most other artists, Graigs started out not knowing what to expect, but he was determined to see things through. After spending much time working with other musicians in the field, he began to understand what he needed to do to attain success and quickly worked on that.
His efforts paid off, and he eventually co-founded the band ‘Sinisters Army’, where he serves as the lead guitarist. He was also a bassist for the band ‘Rated-R’, which rebranded to Wired, and has even performed with many other bands, including Trax, Sillian, G13 Band, and Scars to Grace.
While being in the music industry, there is so much he has learned and experienced over time that he has even shared some of his knowledge with the public about some of the things we are not prepared for when we join the music industry for the first time.
Rejection Becomes the Norm
If there is one thing you need to get used to, is that you will be rejected multiple times before someone decides to work with you and promote your music. You will not be able to get a positive response on any email or calls, nor will you be able to get approval for venues you want to perform at. Your tour plans can change at the last minute if your event planner decides to drop you. Things can easily become a nightmare, so you always need to learn from each experience and be ready to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Business Over Music
Even though it is implied, it is not explicitly stated that business takes up a majority of the work of a musician rather than the music-making process itself. If you want your songs to be accepted anywhere, you need to be good at business to market your songs, negotiate deals, find the ideal venues that are likely to have a larger crowd and the best ways to appeal to a potential business partner. Fortunately, even if you are not good at doing business, keeping at it until you get it right will continue to bear fruits for the future.

The music industry is causing me a lot of questions right now. I don’t understand how it is possible to promote music effectively without using additional tools and services, say https://rocketfame.net/product-category/spotify-promotion/spotify-followers/. I’m tired of waiting for results, so it’s easier for me to buy subscribers who will like or listen to my tracks, thus promoting them.
