Lottery Wins, Looking For Love, and Some Important Spiritual Truths

Last night, here in the UK, we had a lottery draw. It’s known as the EuroMillions lottery draw. It’s drawn twice every week, on a Tuesday and Friday, and the top prize often rolls over to a considerable amount of money.

Last night’s prize fund was worth a little over £28 million. A large amount of money by anyone’s estimation.

I woke this morning to discover that one person had won the jackpot. I assume that today, the person that is now £28 million better off is rather happy, and no doubt already making plans to spend and invest their win.

But as I contemplate this happy person, my thoughts turn to the millions of players who had paid for a ticket and had come up short. I wonder how they are feeling today. Are they upset? Annoyed? Perhaps many don’t give it a second thought as they assumed that winning the lottery was simply a long shot at best.

And what about the many people who live their lives from a metaphysical point of view? How do those who seek to alter and shape their personal experiences of reality view a failed lottery win if their goal is to become a multimillionaire?

If a person’s goal is to become a multimillionaire, and he or she wishes to do so quickly, a lottery win would seem the best way to accomplish such a goal. However, chasing a lottery win is often the first step on a road to frustration.

A lottery game of any kind is an element of outer reality. When you chase a lottery win and pin all of your hopes on it, you turn your back on inner reality and you become a slave to something outside of yourself.

All outer man-made elements of reality are effects. When you take time to contemplate your motives for manifesting anything, the entire process is nothing more than a constant chasing of an effect. The thing to understand is that this outer effect that you’re chasing is actually the natural result of an inner cause.

Our ability to shape and alter our local physical reality is nothing more than an almost ‘accidental’ and yet perfectly natural occurrence – and a fairly new one at that (at least when compared to the age of our universe).

Our outer physical reality is one giant laboratory designed to offer stimuli that triggers feedback. What is the point of all of the outer stimuli and the measurement of the feedback generated by it? All outer stimuli and the measurement of the feedback generated by it occurs so that purpose can be measured. That is why we all exist – to measure different levels of purpose.

There is no one true purpose for man, there is only the measurement of the state of purpose.

All of physical reality exists in a state that allows for feedback to be gathered (and thus purpose to be measured) independent of high levels of intelligence. We as intelligent beings developed over time – a natural process linked to the development of the human body. As the brain developed (tied to the development of the body), the individualised aspects of conscious awareness (you and I) also developed.

The development of individualised conscious awareness occurred due to the fact that the measurement of purpose had reached a natural evolutionary dead end, and it was necessary for the process of the measurement of purpose to continue to the next level.

A new way of measuring purpose needed to occur, and the development of emotion and the unfolding of imagination in man were the keys that unlocked an infinite number of new ways to measure purpose – everything man-made is simply a value assigned to some measurement of purpose (value, worth, importance, etc.), tied to the triggering of some sort of emotional feedback (comfort, pleasure, etc.).

There is nothing created by man that does not have a purpose.

The ultimate outer physical value made by man to represent the biggest positive measurement of purpose is money. Money equals freedom. Money equals worth and importance. Money equals power, comfort, and can even buy you love – or at least a shallow representation of it. People all over the world chase money because it is the value universally chosen to represent an ultimate expression of having purpose. Is it any wonder why money is so important to so many people – not just individuals, but states, governments, nations and countries?

The thing to remember about money is this; it is a value that belongs to outer physical reality.

The inner spiritual equivalent of money is love. On the plains of inner reality, love is the ultimate value assigned to a positive measurement of purpose. However, this too is often used as a currency in outer life. When you feel or express love, you do so via the collected measurements of values such as worth, feeling important to someone, being missed or missing someone special. When you are loved and adored, you have power over someone – someone has handed over their ability to make themselves happy by giving you the keys to their own happiness.

When two people are in love, they are able to express and experience the ability to be themselves, to share themselves openly and without fear of judgement. Two people in love encourage each other, support each other, add to each individual’s inner sense of purpose.

Looking for someone to love you is just as bad as looking to win a lottery. Both involve turning to something outside of you in order to give you a sense of purpose. In both cases, you are turning from within and looking without, away from self.

Let me tell you that if you are looking to money or some other person to give you purpose, you will never find it. The only way to experience a sense of purpose, consistently and for ever, is by turning your attention within.

As I’ve stated previously, physical reality existed before conscious awareness developed. This is not to say that physical reality wasn’t generated by a ‘Creator’ to begin with – it’s just that as the ‘Creator’ was individualised within its own creation (giving rise to conscious awareness), it found that it was able to directly influence and shape its creation from its new position relative to that creation.

When operating from within one’s own creation, it is easy to confuse effects for causes. It’s easy to become blinded by the illusion. In spite of having had access to a ‘Bible’ for thousands of years – a body of work that points to the metaphysical truth of reality and our power over it – it is only really over the past one hundred years that man as a whole has begun to truly awaken.

Man developed naturally in order to create new ways to measure purpose via his own internally visualised values. It’s only now that men and women all over the world are beginning to realise that the things they have constructed in order to offer physical feedback for the measurement of purposes are the effects of an imaginal cause.

We create something as a value assigned to some measurement of purpose and then point to it as the cause, when it is simply an outer representation. We look to others to give us what we already have in abundance within, but are too blind to see.

If you’re chasing a lottery win, or waiting for another to give you a sense of purpose – via feeling loved, wanted, needed, or because you wish to experience freedom, or a sense of importance, worth, or power – understand that the physical things you are chasing and waiting for are naturally occurring outer effects that are generated by an inner, spiritual cause.

You are the inner cause of all outer effects. Man is responsible for his own frustrations and limitations because he is the one who has created the outer values he enslaves himself with. Within his ability to generate the outer values to assign to measurements of purpose, man has created the potential tools of his own individual destruction.

We must all now realise the we are the ones fashioning the tools of measurement, that we cannot allow the outer values assigned to levels of purpose which we have created to become the crosses that we nail ourselves to.

The values we have generated in order to measure purpose have become the masters, and we the slaves. It’s time for all beings of conscious awareness to reclaim their power, and understand their proper place within the reality that they are constantly shaping.

This shift in awareness will not occur all at once. It starts within the individual.

There are many ways to experience freedom and love. Do not become so blinkered that you narrow a world of potentials down into one restrictive event occurring outside of yourself.

We have all become slaves to governments and peer pressure, nailed to jobs and material objects, social rules and global dictations – and all of it created by our own hand. We’re a race of beings slowly suffocated by bills, conventional expectations, restrictive conditioning, and outdated ideas.

In the Bible, Moses is the representation of man’s development in consciousness of the law of his being. ‘Moses’ is a state of mind that sees us leading our flock of thoughts away from the deceptions of matter.

It’s time for us all to embrace the state of ‘Moses’ as detailed in the Bible.

Involution always precedes evolution. Remove yourself from the limited thoughts of the absolute and recognise the inner power and presence where all of your true strength and infinite ability lie.
