Hello Steven,

I’d like to tell you about my successes (and failure) with manifesting. There are only a few and I’ll explain why in a minute. Let me start with the most recent which I believe is the most astonishing. It happened just a month ago on a Thursday morning. But first I have to give you a little more background on me.

I’m in the law enforcement field. Actually, I’m a police detective in Florida. I’ve been there for 21 years but can’t really retire any time soon because I have a three young kids. I used to love my job and was content with my station in life until I started studying metaphysics and realised that I have so much more potential and could even (possibly) manifest my dream life.

Almost three years ago I took on a part-time job. It’s ideal in that I work by myself, the pay is decent, and it only takes me 1.5 hours per day, five days a week. It provides me with spending money during the week and pays for a nice vacation in the summer and pretty much finances Christmas. It’s rather demeaning so I won’t mention exactly what it entails. I wake up early in the morning and do this job before I go to my regular job.

This one morning about a month ago, I woke up in an unusually good mood. There was no reason for my great mood (other than I had the next three days off). I was in such a good mood that I was breaking out in spontaneous singing and humming while working. I can’t stress how unusual this is for me because I am NOT a morning person.

As I was working, I had a random thought that I would like to find a certain thing this morning and it would make for a nice weekend if I found it. In the three years I worked at this place, I have found this certain item twice before but it’s something very obscure and I’m willing to bet that very few people have ever found this item.

Anyway, after having this random thought, I not only found this item but it was sitting on a chair just waiting for me in pristine condition. I instantly thought that I manifested this thing. Maybe not the thing itself, but certainly the circumstances of finding it. It also occurred to me that I was measuring a strong sense of inner purpose that morning (for unknown reasons).

In addition to my detective duties, I’m also a polygraph examiner for my department. A couple of years ago, my agency sent me and another examiner to a polygraph conference in New York as part of our continuing education we are required to have. On the plane ride there I read Shakti Gawain’s “Creative Visualisation.” This was in the early stages of my learning.

One afternoon, the other examiner and I decided to check out the lake. Prior to going, I visualised finding money on the beach. As we walked on the beach (which wasn’t sand but actually tiny stones) I found a penny. Being kind of disappointed, I thought to myself, “maybe I should have visualised finding a wallet.” On the way back to our car we walked by a bush. At the bottom of the bush I saw a wallet! It happened to be an empty wallet but a wallet none-the-less!

My only other “success” was when my wife questioned the things I was studying and I told her I’d prove it to her that these concepts are valid. I told her I would visualise finding money on the ground. And not coins, but paper money.

While leaving the mall a day or two later, and with her as a witness, I found six dollars on the ground.

My one “failure” was kind of interesting in its own right. This occurred after I had been reading Neville Goddard for quite a while but not really putting his teachings to practice. I’m what Neville refers to as a “hearer” and not a “doer.”

This is a problem for me and I’m trying to correct it. I love to read and learn but when it comes to putting it into practice it feels like I’m somehow mentally blocked. Granted, I am a very busy person.

This also took place a couple of years ago. This was my introduction to the lottery. I never played it before and thought it a waste of money.

A coworker stopped into my office one late November day and started talking to me about a lottery draw that my state holds twice a year. It’s more like a raffle where a limited number of tickets are sold and therefore your chances of winning are greatly increased. It was very unusual for this person to stop into my office to begin with and I thought the conversation was incredibly odd.

He told me about this lottery draw and said the tickets were twenty dollars. Internally I balked because at that time, that to me was a lot to spend on a lottery ticket. I also thought to myself that this would be a good opportunity to put Neville’s teachings to work for me. Believe it or not, the next day I found a twenty dollar bill (at my part-time job). That had never happened before or since. I took it as a sign and used it to purchase a ticket.

I constructed a scene in my mind that dramatised that I was one of the winners. I did everything Neville suggested in his teachings and did this for an entire month until the lottery draw took place. At times I actually thought I convinced myself that I was one of the winners.

Sadly I wasn’t. The top prize was a million dollars. I now realise that one million dollars isn’t going to give me the dream life I hope for. So maybe I didn’t win because there are bigger things in store for me. One can only hope!!!

So those are my experiences with manifesting. Not much to show for three years of studying, but again I can’t seem to get past the “hearing” phase. I believe part of the problem is my goals/desires aren’t clearly defined. I think I should write down, in detail, everything I would like to experience. I believe that would help me focus and give me incentive to “just do it”

(Name Withheld)

Steve – thank you so much for sharing your experiences. It’s excellent that you picked up on the fact that you were measuring a strong sense of purpose prior to your instance of manifesting. Your emotional feedback was strong and your confidence was high which enabled you to in turn produce a strong field of influence that altered aspects of your reality (resulting in your manifestation).

I would agree that it’s time for you to write all of your goals down, perhaps with a rough timetable. Continue to practice manifesting on a small scale so that your confidence in the process and your own power strengthens. It will only be a matter of time before you begun to manifest bigger and more impressive things in your life!

Hi Steve,

I wanted to thank you for writing your book, “The Meaning of Life”. It has changed my life completely. I was one of the many who followed and absolutely believed that the Secret/ Law Of Attraction was the way to realise my dreams. I read countless books on LOA, by some of the most renown authors like Gregg Braden.

When I started reading your book I could feel the anger rising up inside me when you would mention things about how emotion had no effect on our reality. You were challenging what was to me, everything I believed. Having said that, I almost stopped reading your book about 5 times! I thought to my self, “Great! I just wasted $5 on some skeptic who thinks the LOA is BS.” But just then I remembered something I read on a fridge magnet on my fridge. It says “to have something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done”. So I decided that I would do my best to keep an open mind and finish the book.

BOY AM I EVER GLAD I DID!!!

Everything is finally clear. It wasn’t long before I realise that everything you were saying about how the widely accepted “secret” doesn’t work and why, actually made complete sense! I read the book in 2 days. I couldn’t put it down. I told my mom about what I had just discovered and to my amazement, she basically jumped ship from old school secret to the REAL secret in 1 day! This stuff just clicks!

I keep wondering why this book hasn’t made it’s way to the top of a best seller list. It is simply the best 5 dollars I have ever spent. And knowing what this book reveals, I would pay an arm and a leg for it!

Again, thank you infinitely for this priceless knowledge you are sharing with me and the rest of humanity. It has absolutely boosted my confidence in my ability of intending to direct force!

Jordan

Steve – thank you so much for your wonderful feedback Jordan. I’m so happy that you stuck with the book and that it has had such a profound affect on you. It’s a pleasure to be of service to you and all the other readers of the Metaphysical Observer.

So because he woke up in a good mood and probably saw the desired object subliminally which gave him the desire for it, then after realising it was actually there, believed he had manifested what ever it was out of thin air… pahahahahahahaha Some people are pure nut cases.
