Weekly Commentary: We risk our soldier’s lives detaining rather than
executing terrorists

When Christiane Amanpour and others cite Israeli and Palestinian body counts
as if they are of equal weight their deception goes far beyond the fact that
while the Israelis are typically murdered in a civilian setting with no
particular context the Palestinians who die either already engaged in a
terror attack or were about to.

We don’t send in our security forces to kill terrorists in Judea and
Samaria.

We send in our security forces to DETAIN terrorists.

And if you follow the news, in most cases that’s just what happens. The
terrorists surrender and are taken into custody.

The exception is when a terrorist opts to open fire or otherwise attack our
security forces and our forces shoot back in self defense.

We literally risk the lives of our security forces by having them attempt to
detain rather than simply execute terrorists.

Oh yes. Christiane Amanpour’s Palestinian body count includes terrorists
killed on the scene in the course of trying to murder Israelis.

Christiane Amanpour and her ilk know better but it doesn’t serve their
anti-Israel agenda.
