Weekly Commentary: Netanyahu Orders to Continue Prison Security Israbluff

People visiting security prisoners in Israel are subject to strict searches
for mobile phones to prevent terrorist leaders from being able to freely
communicate with their teams from behind bars.

We know that these efforts are not effective.

If they were effective it would not matter to the prisoners if the
scramblers installed in the security prisons were turned on.

This week National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir instructed the Prison
Authority to turn on the scramblers.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu contacted the Prison Service commissioner
behind Ben Gvir’s back, overriding Ben Gvir’s instructions.

Thanks to this move, terrorist leaders can continue to issue attack orders
from their prison cells.
