A WND article I wrote recently comparing the Benghazi cover-up to that of TWA Flight 800 16 years prior attracted the attention of a still simmering Naval Academy graduate – “Graduate” – who would like see the TWA 800 mystery re-opened and resolved.
In our 2003 book, “First Strike,” James Sanders and I had argued for the possibility of terrorist involvement in the destruction of TWA Flight 800 with 230 people on board on the night of July 17, 1996.
When Graduate approached me, he first asked if I was still arguing for a terrorist-related incident. I replied, “I am totally confident of a missile strike, but I am fully agnostic as to who fired it. Am open to best evidence. After we presented initial theory, I have seen almost nothing to confirm.”
In Sanders’ defense, he had always believed that the U.S. Navy had accidentally shot down the 747. He made this case in his 1997 book, “The Downing of TWA Flight 800.” His research got his wife, Elizabeth, and him arrested and convicted on federal conspiracy charges.
In working with Sanders, I convinced him that unless we were 100 percent confident of Navy responsibility, we should not assign blame and instead keep the door open to other possibilities, including Islamic terrorism.
Graduate has no interest in being as politic as I have been. He is sure the Navy was responsible. I present his case as he presented it to me.
As he tells it, Graduate has a very sensitive White House source who described for him the dynamics of the White House Situation Room in the moments prior to the loss of TWA Flight 800.

I have heard some pretty wild “conspiracy theories” over the years – but the downing of TWA 800 plane over Lockerbie, Scotland by the US Navy us maybe the wildest yet (with the exception of the 9/11 Conspiracy Nuts) and I dont have to read anything to dismiss that.
People cannot keep their mouths shut. They want fame, money, publicity, a shot at being on stage – telling people dramatic happenings that only they know. You dont keep a secret like that.
Here’s one; Shortly after 9/11, George Bush sent a special representative to the Saudi King. In this “eyes-only” document, which was immediately destroyed, Bush told the King that one more strike on American soil by ANY Saudi participants, and Mecca would cease to exist & WWIII would be “on”. Result: no more strikes on American soil.
However this is not a “theory” – as it actually happened.

Just ONE point of literally 100s: Thermite and nanothermite has been confirmed and reconfirmed in the dust from WTC on 9/11. Since you just KNOW, where do you KNOW that came from?
AWWW, I can’t do just one: Over 1700 architects have joined a group which KNOWS that the 3 (not 2) WTC buildings that collapsed on 9/11 didn’t come down due to plane impact or fire. Here’s the difference: They are experts and they ACTUALLY LOOKED AT THE EVIDENCE. One errant missile shot at by another missile? Geez, that’s pretty incredible. Just yesterday I watched two videos about investigations on this and that doesn’t sound right. As wild as it is, I think William Cooper’s idea that we let Iran shoot down one of our planes as payback for we shooting down one of theirs to be more credible.

Flight 800 exploded over Long Island Sound in ’96 I believe, while the official version is a faulty electrical system leading to a fuel tank explosion, no one with half a brain believed it.
The US Navy was on maneuvers just south of the location and is most probably to blame also a never identified speed boat was in the area, regardless over 600 witnesses interviewed by the FBI saw what they thought was a missile streak across the sky and change direction in mid-flight prior to the explosion.
Many think it was a new kinetic missile one that doesn’t explode but just penetrates launched by our Navy but regardless of any new evidence the official fuel tank story just doesn’t add up.
