Military Idolatry: Worship of the Aircraft Carrier

In accordance with Christian doctrine, the Christians of the United States worship Jesus as ‘God’.

And, not surprisingly, there is a corresponding stupidity in its military doctrine:

The idolatrous worship of the aircraft carrier as a military-technological ‘God’:

Japanese aircraft carriers were crucial to the attack upon Pearl Harbor [but Tora(h)! Tora(h)! Tora(h)! was merely a meaningless coincidence:

And, fortuitously, the aircraft carriers of the United States were out to sea at the time.

On the other hand, the loss of all four Japanese aircraft carriers at the Battle of Midway ensured, after a few serious glitches, the victory of the United States in the Pacific.

In other words, for all practical purposes, the aircraft carrier was God.

But that was then.

Today, in a time of the hypersonic and subsonic anti-ship missile, an aircraft carrier is a fearsome weapon only to terrorist organizations like ISIS and third world countries that do not have a technologically advanced navy.

Viet Nam, Cambodia, Palestine, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela and Lebanon come to mind…

But probably NOT Iran.

But, if there were ever a serious confrontation between the United States Navy, and the Russian and/or the Chinese Navy—and maybe even the Iranian Navy—World War III at sea would probably be over in less than an hour; with all United States aircraft carriers (and most of their “strike groups”), and possibly tens of thousands of United States sailors, at the bottom of the oceans and/or Persian Gulf.

In other words, similar to NATO’s amassing of thousands of soldiers, B-52 bombers, and other tools of human sacrifice throughout the nations of Western Europe, the United States Navy is now nothing more than a ‘trip wire’ for the initiation of a nuclear confrontation between the “king of the South”, the “king of the North” and the “kings of the East”.

Think about that, Christians in the United States, when you go to church tomorrow and pray to Jesus as ‘God’.

Your aircraft carriers will NOT save you.

Neither will Jesus.
