2014 New England International Auto Show to feature over 500 cars

Boston, MA  Domestic and international automakers are crating up their newest models, next year’s introductions and prototypes for delivery to the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center where more than 500 new vehicles will be on display at the 2014 New England International Auto Show, presented by Amica Insurance.

The New England International Auto Show, which is the largest new car display in New England, runs January 16-20. The five-day public event showcases the newest cars, trucks, hybrids, vans, crossovers and sport utilities on the market, and the hottest trends in the industry. Additionally Porsche will make a return to the 2014 Boston Auto Show this year which will have some guests very excited.

“This year’s show is shaping up to be one of the best in the show’s 57-year history and it reflects the latest technological advancements in the industry,” said Barbara Pudney, vice president of the Paragon Group, producer of the New England International Auto Show.

“Visitors will be able to see, touch and sit in most of the vehicles represented by 34 car lines all under one roof. In addition to seeing 2014 and 2015 cars, visitors can test drive new cars around the Convention Center and see the latest in luxury cars, popular ‘green cars’, custom styling and accessories; and enjoy entertainment for the whole family,” she added.

CAR LINES REPRESENTED AT NEW ENGLAND INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

Exhibiting manufacturers represented at this year’s show include: Acura, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, FIAT, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Lamborghini, Lexus, Lincoln, Lotus, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI, Nissan, Porsche, Ram, Scion, Subaru, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen

Highlights include:

• Ride & Drives: Get behind the wheel of some of the hottest models from the industries top manufacturers!  Some of the biggest names on the Auto Show floor, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Kia, Scion and Toyota, will have their newest and most popular vehicles available for a spin around the Convention Center.  Don’t limit yourself to just drooling over the cars – drive them!  Ride & Drive events take place Saturday, Sunday and Monday during the Show’s daylight hours.

• Chevrolet Corvette Stingray:The debut of the newly redesigned 2014 Corvette Stingray leaves the previous Z06 and ZR1 models on hiatus. While still upholding legendary Corvette values like massive power, grip and tires, the 2014 model addresses some historical shortcomings. The interior quality has finally been given the attention it deserves, while a more rigid body structure, carbon fiber roof and hood, and revised 6.2 liter V8 improve quality all around. Both the convertible and coupe models will be at the Show!

• Hyundai Zombie Machine: If preparing for a zombie apocalypse is on your to-do-list then Hyundai’s battle ready Zombie Killing Machine (based on an Elantra) at the New England International Auto Show is a must see! The scene will be set for the perfect Walking Dead post-apocalyptic photo opportunity!

• Exotic Car Showcase: Our showcase of the most expensive vehicles in the world includes Maserati, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Porsche, Lotus and Aston Martin. Walk the Million Dollar Mile along the show floor and get up close and personal with these gorgeous feats of automotive engineering.
