What are these eBay Guides?

You’ve probably been seeing some new eBay posts on our Facebook page lately, called “Guides.” A lot of you have clicked on them, and a ton of you have shared them too. Thank you for doing both, really. Perhaps it had something to do with me making fun of Buick ports, or shitty wings?

Some people are hesitant to commit their mice before you know what’s going on. You are a discerning fan, a cautious viewer, and I respect that. So, here’s what’s going on:

eBay has launched a new section of its site called “Guides.” Basically it’s their own blog platform (Which works very well might I add.), and allows you to create web pages about whatever you want. You can make a page that’s only words, or only pictures, or a mix of it all, adding links to things on eBay, pictures, and even YouTube videos. People have used this platform to compile lists of cool stuff, movies, songs, or in my case, cars and car parts.

One of the most popular ones is called, “The 5 Most Important car mods.”  Want to start modding your car? Before you start trying to compound charge a leaf blower, start here.

The flip side is what not to do to your car, which I explain in the not-so-gentle guide, “How to make your car worse and people sad” . Basically I make fun of bad car parts that people continue to buy.

There’s a guide about my favorite turbocharged things, the best cheap cars on eBay, and even which shift knobs to get. And there’s more to come, with more variety, more advice, and probably more jokes.

So check out the eBay guides, and for anyone interested in starting a blog but doesn’t want to deal with web design, give it a try yourself.
