Trilaterals to Meet in D.C. April 25

The Annual Meeting of a little-known but highly influential group will take place in April 25th through April 27th in Washington, D.C.

That group is the Trilateral Commission, which is entering its 41st year.
The “Trilaterals,” as they’re sometimes called, continue to play an important role in piecing together wide-ranging free-trade agreements and other building blocks of global government.

They cover a lot of ground and have a lot of clout in economic and political matters. But Americans rarely, if ever, hear about the Trilaterals in the news.

Last year, the Trilaterals held their Annual Meeting in Berlin, Germany. Regarding recent history, starting in 2002, the Trilaterals have held their main Annual Meeting in Washington every three years.

The organization was founded by veteran plutocratic banker David Rockefeller. The former Chase Manhattan Bank chairman for years presided over the Council on Foreign Relations, or CFR. The CFR is an older internationalist power-broker group formed in 1921. It has a Washington office, as well as its main office in Manhattan.
Rockefeller and his protégé—professor and author Zbigniew Brzezinski—together founded the Trilateral Commission in 1973 to represent the trans-national business and political interests of North America, Europe and Japan—hence the name “Trilateral.”

Critics have long charged that the Trilaterals, the CFR and the even more secretive kingmakers in the Bilderberg Group constitute a private, unelected government.

And there is considerable networking between these groups as they work with think tanks and produce policy directives that have a strong influence on elected governments. In fact, many members of these groups are themselves current or former government officials.

Some notables include:

· Bilderberg member Jean-Claude Trichet, who’s former chairman of the European Central Bank. He plays a key role today as the Trilateral Commission’s European chairman.
· American academic Anne-Marie Slaughter has attended both Bilderberg and Trilateral meetings. She’s a former policy-planning director at the State Department.
· And Goldman Sachs International Chairman Peter D. Sutherland, who played a major role at the Trilateral meeting last year in Berlin, is a frequent Bilderberg attendee.

Notably, Trilateral comrades Sutherland and Trichet are on the all-important Bilderberg Steering Committee. That committee arranges the location and agenda for the highly secretive annual Bilderberg Meetings and finalizes who to invite.

Attendees at both Bilderberg and Trilateral meetings are a “who’s who” of big names in banking, major corporations, think tanks, government and foundations such as Washington’s Carnegie Endowment.

Bilderberg Meetings usually take place in Europe, but in 2008 and 2012, these meetings were held in the greater Washington area.
A big problem is that collusive directors of major media and select reporters attend these invitation-only Trilateral and Bilderberg Meetings to participate. But they’re sworn to secrecy under what a Trilateral office secretary described as “Chatham House rules.”

Secretary Mary Valder recently made that admission to us, confirming that the publishers and reporters who attend Trilateral meetings report nothing about those meetings.

Details on the agenda of next month’s Trilateral meeting are being sought. Yet the Trilaterals are even trying to withhold the name of the Washington D.C. hotel where the group will meet.

However, there are some indications that the meeting will take place at either the Ritz-Carlton Hotel or the Mandarin-Oriental Hotel, beginning on April 25th.
