Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy’s [right] Sandy Hook Advisory Commission wants to institute onerous new gun laws and it has said it doesn’t care if the laws are unconstitutional.

The 16 commission members — experts in education, mental health, police work and so on — are specifically insisting that Connecticut ban the sale of any gun able to fire more than 10 rounds at a time without reloading, ABC News reports.

Second Amendment advocates and gun manufacturers oppose the proposed ban, which would be in addition to a 2013 Connecticut law that outlaws guns defined as “assault weapons” and ammunition magazines defined as “large capacity.”

Commission members admit that they have no regard for the constitutionality of a ban on multiple rounds (more than 10).

“Whether or not this law would stand the test of constitutionality is not for this commission to decide,” commission member Bernard Sullivan [right], a former Hartford police chief, said.

“The commission has expressed very strongly that this is a statement that is needed regarding the lethality of weapons,” he added, according to ABC.

Another commission member, Hamden, Conn. Mayor Scott Jackson [left], said the commission wants to see its draconian restrictions across the country.

“We’re hoping that some of our recommendations will go far beyond the borders of the state of Connecticut,” Jackson proclaimed.

In a meeting on Friday, commission members also indicated that recreational shooters would simply have to live with the draconian new laws they have proposed.

The onerous new rules for gun ownership make sense in the minds of commission members because Adam Lanza massacred 20 young children and six teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. in December 2012.

[According to Connecticut State police] Lanza used a Bushmaster AR-15 rifle.

In addition to guns, the Sandy Hook commission has previously insisted that homeschooling must be tightly regulated.

Back in September, the Sandy Hook Advisory Commission called for a new law forcing every homeschooling parent with a child who has been labeled with a behavioral or emotional problem to submit to a host of strict regulations.

That particular scheme put forth in the commission’s draft recommendations on mental health would require homeschooling parents to submit individual education plans regularly to a local education bureaucrat.

School officials could then decree whether parents may continue to educate their own children. Administrators could pull the plug on parents’ homeschooling plans just by declaring that the child failed to make “adequate progress.”

Gov. Malloy’s Sandy Hook Commission is expected to complete its work and submit its final report in February [2015].

There is no need for commissions concerning tragedies such as this. When a commission or something of the sort is formed it is only so that the already decided end result “in this case gun control and denial of 2nd Amendment rights” appears to be legitimized.

None of these proposed laws would have saved a single child at Sandy Hook. Not one. The sleazy left USES the bodies of dead children as propaganda to push its anti-freeedom agenda.

So, just WHY is the socialist left so anti-gun? Simple: they read the 2nd Amendment and UNDERSTOOD it. They know that the purpose of the 2nd amendment was not hunting. It was not for personal defense. It was to give THE PEOPLE the ability to resist or even overthrow the government if the government became oppressive.

As Thomas Jefferson said “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government”

The socialist Democrats have every intention of becoming tyrannical and oppressive…and the 2nd Amendment scares them.

Oh, I’ve heard that lame excuse before. Tell it to the handful of Bolsheviks who overthrew the Czars.

Tell it to Fidel Castro and Chi Guevara and their motley crew of rag-tag peasants who overthrew Batista who was supported and aided by the U.S.

Maybe you should tell it to the Afghans who ran out the Soviets and are about to do the same with the U.S.

Don’t forget to tell it to the farmers who fought off the most powerful country in the world in the 1770s.

And no, the government is NOT “the people.” As the FOUNDERS of the U.S. knew, and is clearly lost on you, the government is a necessary evil that typically serves to OPPRESS the people. The whole purpose of the Constitution is to LIMIT the power of the federal government.

Of the three, the federal government, the states, and the people, the federal government is supposed to have the LEAST power.

Believe me, Jefferson and the Founders were MUCH smarter than you.

EDIT: By the way, before I get my phone tapped by the NSA, I am not ADVOCATING anything. I’m merely stating the purpose for which the 2nd Amendment was written and why the left hates it. The best way to get rid of the tyrannical left is via the ballot box.

It is time to accept the First Amendment needs some re-working. What this “commission” is proposing is simply treason and can not be tolerated. You can’t yell “fire” in a crowded movie theater, you can’t talk about killing the President (unless the President is a Republican, then you can make a movie about it) and Liberals should no longer be allowed to continue proposing violations of the Second Amendment for the sake of non-existent “safety” concerns. This proposed ban would not have prevented Sandy Hook”. These liberals are simply trying to use this tragedy to promote the notion that anything done to promote “safety” trumps fundamental constitutional rights. This should be recognized as treason and dealt with appropriately. The members should at least be stripped of their civic jobs and stripped of their citizenship…
