Fr. Mulgrew is from a Irish family of comedians and was following in their footsteps before he became a priest. Instead of helping him to become a model of seriousness, his superiors encouraged him to continue on his past circus-style course.
There is no need to say that Mulgrew’s monkeyshines have been well accepted by Charismatic Catholics, who also disrespectfully promote the ‘laughing Jesus.’
Mulgrew’s clownish performances are another way to demoralize and de-sacralize the Catholic Church; another step of the self-demolition of the Church promoted by Progressivism.
