CORPORATE NATIONS: Threat to state sovereignty?
Could the Googles and the Amazons of the world take over the roles of governments? Their sheer sizes certainly give them tremendous power. How about influence?
Joining us on Roundtable today is Dorothy Guerrero, Head of Policy at Global Justice Now, Professor Collins Ntim, expert in corporate social accountability at the University of Southampton and Lorenzo Marsili, political activist and founder of international NGO European Alternatives.

Trump calls for BOYCOTT of all WOKE companies, how this ENDS the culture war
Former Republican President Donald Trump has now called for the boycott of all companies that have catered to woke liberal demands to denounce the new George voter law that requires Voter ID.
As former POTUS Trump requests his loyal supporters and MAGA fans to come together and prove to the MLB, Delta Airlines, UPS, JP Morgan and the other companies that listen to their liberal overlords actually do not care about justice or have a sort of moral compass that guides their business decision making. They only care about the bottom line. And if enough people boycott the cancel culture affiliate companies, this whole culture war will actually turn right around.

The Great Reset Is Accelerating Into Global Tyranny
‘The Great Reset’ is an idea put forward by the World Economic Forum to fundamentally restructure the global economy in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. David Ansara of the CRA speaks with author, Douglas Kruger, about the ideological underpinnings of the ‘Davos agenda’ and the risk it poses to property rights.

Story at-a-glance
The World Economic Forum’s 2030 agenda includes the dictum that you will “own nothing and be happy.” The unstated implication is that the world’s resources will be owned and controlled by the technocratic elite, and you’ll have to pay for the temporary use of everything
The WEF’s 2030 agenda is part of what is now advertised as The Great Reset
Also part of The Great Reset is the transition from shareholder capitalism to “stakeholder capitalism,” which world leaders claim will provide “equity” for all
In reality, stakeholder capitalism destroys freedom and shifts power over nations from elected governments to private corporations and other unelected “stakeholders” such as the WEF
Since the first quarter of 2020, we’ve already gotten a taste of what The Great Reset will mean for public health. The basic premise is that of a biosecurity state, where unelected “stakeholders” decide what is best for everyone
The World Economic Forum’s 2030 agenda includes the strangely ominous dictum that you will “own nothing and be happy.” The unstated implication is that the world’s resources will be owned and controlled by the technocratic elite, and you’ll have to pay for the temporary use of absolutely everything.
Nothing will actually belong to you. All items and resources are to be used by the collective, while actual ownership is restricted to an upper stratum of social class. Just how will this imposed serfdom make you happy?
Again, the unstated implication is that lack of ownership is a convenience — they’re just making your life easier. Rent a pot and then return it. You don’t need storage space! Imagine the freedom! They even promise the convenience of automatic drone delivery straight to your door.
Artificial intelligence — which is siphoning your data about every aspect of your existence through nearly every piece of technology and appliance you own — will run your life, predicting your every mood and desire, catering to your every whim. Ah, the luxury of not having to make any decisions!

Building Trust to Combat the Spread of Misinformation about Corporations
April 20, 2022
Fake news has been blamed for its role in undermining democratic processes and hurting the self-esteem of teenagers, but corporations are also feeling its effects. Misinformation about organizations can be direct—such as false claims about products or about corporate policies—and the repercussions can lead to stock price drops or revenue hits. Roberto Cavazos, an economics professor at the University of Baltimore, estimated that the spread of false and misleading messages online alone cost the global economy $78 billion in 2019.1

Week Four: Manifesto of American Fascism.
August 23, 1971, Lewis F. Powell, Jr., nominated to the Supreme Court by President Richard Nixon, penned a, “Confidential Memorandum: Attack on American Free Enterprise System.” This document follows the tumultuous 1960s, replete with the raucous Civil Rights movement, the convulsive Anti-War agenda, and the “revolutionary temerity” of students as well as academics calling into question the rudiments of America’s State Religion, Capitalism.

The Corporation – Documentary
Based on Joel Bakan’s bestseller The Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power, this 26-award-winning documentary explores a corporation’s inner workings, curious history, controversial impacts and possible futures. One hundred and fifty years ago, a corporation was a relatively insignificant entity. Today, it is a vivid, dramatic, and pervasive presence in all our lives. Like the Church, the Monarchy and the Communist Party in other times and places, a corporation is today’s dominant institution. Charting the rise of such an institution aimed at achieving specific economic goals, the documentary also recounts victories against this apparently invincible force.
‘The New Corporation’ was released in 2020.

How to Overthrow Corporate Rule in 5 Not-so-easy Steps
http://www.corporations.org/solutions/
(THIS WEBPAGE IS FULL OF DOCUMENTS AND LINKS TO TAKE ACTION)
Resources and information on fighting corporate power, democratizing our government and freeing people’s time.
Many people are spending a lot of their time volunteering to stop specific environmental threats, to address a specific labor issue, or to stop various other corporate abuses to our communities. The number of problems seems endless. Isn’t there a faster way to save the world?
This page is devoted to those who are interested in getting to the root of society’s problems. How nice would it be if our government wasn’t answering to their corporate masters, but to community concerns? How much easier would our efforts be if people weren’t so overworked and had more time to volunteer? Wouldn’t it be great to have the media reporting critically on serious community issues rather than pandering to the the interests of their wealthy owners and advertizers?
These are the reforms that make other reforms possible.
Take away their money:
Stop privatization / Re-socialize systems
Privatized systems mean that corporations get to profit from providing important social services which could be provided by (hopefully democratically-controlled) public bodies. Get involved in efforts to stop privitization of schools, municipal water/sewer systems, trash collection or other social services. Better yet, get involved in efforts to put services like health care or electric power under public control.

Boycott / protest big corporations
Withdraw your support from large corporations by consuming less and supporting local, small businesses when possible.

Fight corporate “wealthfare”
Get corporations off the public dole and work to stop subsidy abuse by opposing things like public funding for private stadiums, excessive and unneeded highway projects and other tax breaks, subsidies and bailouts which are not in the public interest. Welfare is for people, not corporations!

Fighting global corporatization
Think globally, act locally! Build community awareness of “free trade” agreements and hold your congressperson and senators accountable for their votes. Pass “WTO-free zone” resolutions and other local expressions of opposition to trade agreements which would trump the rights of local and state governments to protect citizens from corporate abuses. If you can, act globally as well by gathering people to go with you to rallies and protests against major global corporatization conferences.

Human/worker rights:
30 hour work week
30 hours work for 40 hours pay! Thanks to union organizing in years past, we now have the weekend, 8 hour work-days and 40 hour work weeks. In 1933, the 30 hour work week nearly became law when both the U.S. Senate and House passed it only to have it vetoed by President Roosevelt (who later regretted doing so). Sharing the work reduces unemployment and gives working people more personal time, which can free people up for move civic engagement.

Redesign Corporations:
Take away their personhood; Roll back their rights and definitions; Revoke corporate charters
Work towards the day when our states attorneys general revoke the charters of offending corporations and when state legislatures change their incorporation codes, rolling back the “rights” of corporations to where they used to be.
