George Washington Needed to Lead the Constitutional Conservatives

A good friend posed the following:

So where are we on the action scale in your view?  Like you, many of the great patriots who have responded to the call of our nation have delivered inspiring thoughts and positive motivation. The [recent] Glenn Beck Rally is most notable at this time. While I remain somewhat skeptical and suspicious of the true motives and the conflicting agendas behind Glenn Beck, I see this latest campaign of bringing faith back to America as a very positive influence and one in which real empowerment of the citizens can be realized. The question is at this point, just who and in what way will leaders emerge to channel this energy in the most productive way?

I would especially expect Mr. Beck to step up to the plate since he has become most prominent in the eyes of those of us who are dedicated to restoring America, yet I see the need to be cautious in that I am reminded by conditions which appear to be too good to be true frequently are just that…too good to be true. It would be such a pity not to have some organized plans to implement just in the event Mr. Beck does not carry through on this great momentum. Does any of this make sense to you?

My response follows:

If you are looking for a George Washington figure to rise up and take charge, even Glenn Beck is looking for that person. That is what he said on his show last week. The leader should be the person who will be the Grand Old Party (GOP) nominee for president. However, I do not see that person emerging until sometime next year (2011). Hence, until that happens all of us individual action nodes must continue our work in our own little spheres of influence. I am totally behind what Glenn Beck is doing and trust him implicitly. I had dedicated my book on Obama’s Agenda to him.

If you want some organized plans to implement, but if you do not prepare them, I do not know of anyone who would. The problem is this: There needs to be a sugar daddy (the way George Soros funds left-wing extremist groups) to fund a small team of people to work 24/7 on developing such strategies and tactics to implement, to organize all of the disparate conservative groups, and to provide the leadership, direction, and motivation to make it all happen. If I was independently wealthy, I would be happy to take on such a role along with people like you and others that I know who are very dedicated to making things happen on November 2, 2010. However, like everything else, money talks.
