Our First BIG Project, A Get Out the Vote Plan!
Many of you heard this week that an anonymous donor offered $1,000,000 to help grassroots organizations fund “Get Out the Vote” activities through the Tea Party Patriots organization. I am writing to let you know that we have begun the application process to fund radio commercials on stations that reach voters across the Central Texas area. Several members offered their time this week to help me develop this plan. Thank you Zach Ricks, Nelson Ramirez and JohnaKay Ramirez!
In addition to this, the leaders of the Central Texas local meetings believe that we should pursue this exciting project even if we do not receive a grant from the Tea Party. Tonight I am writing to let you know that we are launching our VERY first fund raising effort!
We hope to raise $4,840 in order to kick off our ”Get Out the Vote” campaign on the first day of early voting, which is October 18th. If we are able to raise additional funds, we will increase the spots and add multiple stations to our plan. Clear Channel will produce the ads for us at no cost if we run the spots on Clear Channel stations.

I will provide regular updates so you can see our progress towards the $4,840 minimum goal. Clear Channel estimates that this $4840 will help us reach 157,000 people 2.8 times. The ads will be inspirational messages that use our 9-12 Principles and Values to urge people take the time to vote.
