It Gets Even Worse

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

A new editorial in the New York Times spells out to even the most dimwitted conservative where we are now on the immigration question in America.

The article in question is called “It Gets Even Worse: New Anti-Immigrant Laws Are Cruel, Racist, and Counter-Productive.” It appeared today in the July the 4th edition of the New York Times.

The imperious article denounces South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama for passing new immigration laws. It urges the Holder Justice Department to sue these states in the same manner as Arizona and use the full might of the federal government to simultaneously enforce tyranny and anarchy in the Southern states..

This article is a joke on so many levels:

1.) It claims there is no one around in Alabama to pick the cotton. Since when does anyone pick cotton in Alabama these days?

2.) It claims that the peaches are rotting in Georgia and that no one is picking onions. Most illegal aliens in Georgia live in the Atlanta area where no one picks peaches or onions. Illegal aliens are living off foodstamps in DeKalb County.

If the peaches were truly rotting in South Georgia, I would be the first to hear about it, as most of my family lives in Tifton, which is the home of UGA’s ag campus. The local newspapers here would be on top of the story like the Gulf Oil Spill.

3.) It calls arresting illegal aliens “a stunning abuse of power.” It is a crime under federal law to be in the United States illegally. The Constitution requires the federal government to protect the states from invasion.

4.) After denouncing E-Verify and Arizona for enforcing the repellant and draconian federal immigration laws which “break apart families,” it calls for “lawfulness at the border.”

5.) If these people are so “hardworking,” then why are over 1/2 of illegal aliens in America on foodstamps?

These are the same liars who are telling a national audience that no one is rebuilding Tuscaloosa from the tornado damage. When I was there Thursday, it sure looked to me like most of the rubble had been removed.
