Shane's Top 10 Useful and Inspiring Websites

As I continue building the new site, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to share some of the data I am compiling in the form of an article.  In the near future, you will be to read the bios of each of our contributors (my updated bio is already up) and eventually, each of those contributors will have a portion of their profile dedicated to giving you some insight as to where they do much of their research and find inspiration for their articles.

Hopefully these resources will come in handy for other bloggers and readers.  Please feel free to share your favorites in the comments.

Many of you may think of Dave Ramsey’s site falling more into the ‘useful’ category, but for me, his articles, books, and resources can easily be considered ‘inspiring’ as well.  Dave is a financial guru but his books are life changing for your spiritual and family lives.  I would suggest Dave’s books to anyone, Christian or not.  I listed Dave’s site first for a reason.  He teaches conservative financial principles at their very core and his budget plan has become a major part of my everyday life.

The logo says it.  Human Events has the best Conservative contributors and the best articles, period!  Updated regularly with excellent content, if you only have time to check up on one site a day, HE should be it.  I would guess if you are on my site, you probably already know about Human Events.

American Thinker isn’t far behind Human Events in my book.  Their contributors may not be the big names you find at HE, but the content is just as good.  If I wanted to nitpick, I would say the page could use a visual revamp, but I know firsthand how hard and time consuming that can be.  The content is second to none!

Air 1 is a Christian radio station and their music is the prime source of inspiration, but they provide much more than music on their website.  They have a ‘faith’ section on their site containing a verse of the day and a bible reading plan as well as ‘news’ section containing daily news stories of interest to Christians.  Take the time to head to YouTube to check out Air1 as well.  Their page has tons of videos of Christian artists performing in studio.

Christian Gun Owner is a page I just found yesterday, but I was so impressed with the content that I wanted to add it to this list.  CGO includes gun reviews, information on gun laws and rights, CCW information, gun safety info, and step by step information for new gun owners.  All of this info comes with a Conservative Christian twist.  CGO makes excellent arguments for Christians with guns and has quickly been propelled into my regular reading list.

Everyone needs to laugh sometimes.  Steven Crowder can provide you a laugh while providing excellent Conservative commentary.  I am a regular on Crowder’s YouTube channel when I need a break from the sometimes depressing world of politics.  Crowder can always make you laugh no matter how frustrating the topic.
