My New Bike Frame

I sold every extra piece of bike gear I own, as well as a pair of mint Bose Original 901 speakers (with equalizer) to come up with the money to buy this frame:

It is a 60cm 1972 Schwinn Paramount touring frame (P-10, P-15) with Nervex lugs in solid chrome plate. It is in remarkable condition for its age. I took everything off my other Paramount frame and put it on this one, along with a new Record bottom bracket and a NOS Nuovo Record headset. Everything on this bike except for the stem, the seatpost, the bars and the brake calipers, is Campy Record, either accurate vintage or new.

I love this bike. I’ve been looking for a chrome frame that would fit me for more than five years. When one turned up on eBay, I pulled the trigger. Who knows if I’ll still be around to wait another five years for the next one?
