Talking in general terms at the Clinton Global Initiative, Ms Clinton insisted: “There are rich people everywhere and yet they do not contribute to the growth of their own countries.

“They don’t invest in public schools, in public hospitals, in other kinds of development internally,” she told the aid foundation set up by her husband, former Democratic president Bill Clinton.

And the “glittering” dullards applauding this codswollop were no doubt using their iPhones and iPads to notify all their friends of the unparalleled mental acuity on display, sending the gag-inducing drivel out over privately-developed and -owned infrastructure no poverty-stricken individual invented, invested in, built, or maintained.

Can they really be this stupid? I mean, REALLY? Why yes; yes, they can. Si si puede!

Can lefties believe two impossible things before breakfast, every day of their lives?

Of course they can. If they could not, leftism itself could not exist.

The entire span of leftist thinking is built on the notion of getting something for nothing, that there is such a thing as a free lunch (that can be served up forever), and that wealth can be created out of thin air by state fiat.

Reality begs to differ and, so far, at least, reality has always won that particular argument in the end.
