Was Benghazi a “Plan B?”

I am going to put forth a theory. I made this statement on Twitter within hours of the Benghazi incident, even getting in a very heated argument with my former Green Beret business partner about it. This is serious stuff, and it is just a theory, so read it all, soak it in, and then form your own opinion.

We now know that Special Operators in the area where told to stand down and not intercede on behalf of Ambassador Stevens and the Embassy staff. The question everyone wants an answer to is why? As we saw on 09/11/2001, Americans don’t run from trouble, they run towards it. It’s in our national DNA. It’s what makes us special and is a uniquely American trait. So, why wouldn’t permission be granted to rescue Ambassador Stevens and the Embassy staff?

I believe that Mr. Obama, in consort with some of his henchmen planned a bloodless kidnapping of Ambassador Stevens, in order to have an October surprise, and satisfy his overlords in the Muslim Brotherhood, by giving the “Blind Sheik” back to them in a “prisoner swap.” Stay with me on this. I am not a conspiracy nut (I promise). I am however a realist.

Long before the Benghazi attack, Glenn Beck put out the news that the Obama administration was working on a plan to deport the “Blind Sheik” to Egypt as a “gift” to the Muslim Brotherhood. Why, we will never know, but it was reported. And when the media, those brave enough to repeat it, put it out there, the Obama administration went nuts and said it was crazy. Deny, deny, deny. They now required another way to deliver the “Blind Sheik.” A “Plan B.”

Then, out of nowhere, this YouTube video shows up and is trumpeted by the Department of State, and they play it off as the reason for the riots in Cairo, even though we know the Cairo riots were brought about by Iman Al Zawahiri’s brother calling for riots, because they were demanding the “Blind Sheik” be returned to them, as he is a hero to the Islamo-Fascists. No one had heard of this video, which had been on the web for as long as six (6) months. We all know what happens in the Middle East when someone disparages Mohammed, so why would the State Department start talking about it?

Well, that answer is simple. They needed some sort of cover for what was about to go down in Benghazi. They (Obama, Clinton, and who knows who else) had worked up a plan to help the Muslim Brotherhood kidnap Ambassador Stevens, safely and without bloodshed, so that they could “negotiate” his return, in a swap for the “Blind Sheik.” By doing so, they could accomplish their desire to give back this murderer, and also look like heroes in the process. And, as an added special bonus, they could solidify Obama’s reelection chances.

There were a couple of problems with this plan. The first is that there is a CIA outpost just down the street, manned with a half dozen or so “former” special operators from various branches of the military who were contracted to “The Company” (CIA). These operators are American Special Operators first, and when they heard gunfire and artillery down the street they wanted to spring into action as they knew the Obama administration had refused beefing up security, and knew they were all sitting ducks at the Benghazi consular compound.

So, they did what any operators would do and asked for permission to work up a rescue operation to get our people out. Oddly, they were denied permission. Why? Because the administration, Leon Panetta, and Hillary Clinton knew the “attack” was just for show, and they had carefully, over months, reduced security there to nothing so that the attack would have minimal casualties.

Those operators made repeated requests to go in and save the sitting ducks at the consular compound, and were each time, denied permission. Finally, they took matters into their own hands, and ignored orders to stand down. They were no longer regular military and couldn’t be prosecuted under the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice) and went in. They were able to save about thirty (30) people. They got them all out and took two fatal casualties in the process, former Navy SEALs; Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

During the attack, which lasted some seven (7) hours, we had an armed drone orbiting the area. This aircraft was relaying live CCTV footage to the White House Situation Room throughout the whole attack. Our people could see that it was a coordinated attack. And for seven (7) hours did nothing to help the operators who had gone in to undertake a rescue mission, and nothing to help the Embassy staff who were literally naked to the attack, and had no way to defend themselves. President Obama as late as today stated that he was unaware of any requests for permission to help and did not answer when asked if he himself gave the order to stand down. Right now some low level functionary can probably hear the bus headed his way as surely somebody else will be made to take the fall for what is clearly executive inaction.

Remember the movie “Independence Day?” I’ve seen it so many times I know all the dialog and could do the traveling road show without a script. In one scene, the Black Knight squadron is attacking an alien ship for the first time. They were unaware that the alien fighters were far superior to their fighter planes and the members of the Black Knight squadron were dropping like flies. The president is watching the action from his command center and as he sees the fighter planes, represented on a radar screen, blinking off one at a time, he realizes that the battle is a lost cause. What does he do? He screams “abort, abort, get them out of there!” What happened after that? The mission was aborted and the Black Knight squadron retreated to safety. You see, the president in this scenario was the commander in chief of the military and what he says goes. Obama is also the commander in chief and regardless of whether or not our assets had been told to stand down, all he had to say was “get them out of there” and it would have happened. He did no such thing.

Furthermore, back at the CIA compound which was now being attacked too, the former Special Operator who was manning the rooftop heavy machine gun, was also painting the mortar installation which was attacking them with a targeting laser. The drone, which was armed, could have launched one Hellfire missile, which would have hit that laser point, and ended the siege in an instant, yet Panetta, Obama, and whomever else was watching it happen on live Drone-O-Vision did nothing. They didn’t lift a finger, and left the CIA operators and the Embassy staff to die. And die they did. Four of them were murdered. And we know from photographs of the Embassy compound that some of them were dragged out while still alive, as there are bloody hand prints and streaks from bloody fingers on some of the pillars of the building(s).

So, you say, if this was going to be a bloodless event, then what happened? Well, the Operators who launched their own rescue mission did so against orders. The plan was obviously to have everyone stand down and let it play out, so that a minimal loss of life occurred and the bad guys could abscond with the Ambassador, and “Dear Leader” could start the negotiations in earnest. But those brave men decided they weren’t going to allow Americans to be slaughtered. The backfire was immense. And it proves that a bunch of civilians who have never served can’t, and will never, know the mindset of our military men/women in the field. And they certainly in this case, underestimated the temerity, tenacity and valor of our operators who happened to be in theater to throw a wrench into the bulwarks of Obama’s brilliant plan. The terrorists, expecting no resistance, would have immediately believed they had been double crossed as they started to take fire from the rescuers. It is likely at this time that they decided to kill the ambassador rather than kidnap him.

Today, the news is out. There are emails that account for the whole attack. There are people coming out of the woodwork to throw the players under the bus, as this is truly one of the most horrible events in American history. Watergate and the “Bay of Pigs” pale by comparison. Only one other time has a US Ambassador been killed while on duty in a foreign country. It was of course in a Muslim country, Iran, and ended with the deaths of some of our Special Operators in a botched rescue mission led by none other than the second worst President in US History, Jimmy Carter.

Today, Fox News seems to be the only journalistic organization to have the stones to tell the truth about Mr. Obama, and Benghazi. Of course, I don’t know of anyone else who has posited the possibility that the whole event was planned by Obama’s henchmen in an attempt to give up the “Blind Sheik” to the Muslim Brotherhood, but I suspect I will be vindicated in the near future when the truth comes out, and this theory is proven true.

To recap, the Obama administration systematically reduced security in Benghazi, the cradle of Al Qaeda in Libya. They then refused to use assets in the area, to rescue some 30+ Embassy staff, while watching the attack on Closed Circuit Television, from a drone, and from the security cameras on the Embassy compound grounds. There was a gaggle of Special Operators just down the street who were denied permission to mount a rescue operation. There was an AC-130U Spectre gunship in the area, and a Global Hawk drone, both armed to the teeth, that could have ended the attack with a single shot. And, in the end, the Obama Administration has stonewalled the investigation, didn’t have FBI agents on the ground there for more than a month, and are only being exposed now, due to some whistle blowers, who obviously cannot live with the knowledge that their bosses allowed four (4) Americans to be tortured and murdered, without rendering any aid, and specifically ordering those who could render aid, who were in the immediate vicinity, to stand down.

Form your own opinion. But keep in mind, that this man, this President, this person who is a dyed in the blue follower of Saul Alinsky, believes that the desired end-state justifies any and all means necessary. Keep in mind that at no time in his Presidency has he been transparent as he promised. At no time has he told anything close to the truth to the American people. Keep in mind that he appears more intent on a Muslim Caliphate in the Middle East, than on saving America. And keep in mind that his entire background is out of reach, out of sight, and a mystery to everyone in America, and around the world. If you think he isn’t capable of what I suggest happened, then you haven’t read the truth about his tactics, his cynicism, and his actions during his entire career. I believe I am right. I am not happy about that. But the truth often hurts. In this case, it is a very painful truth, one that will scar this nation for decades to come. It is a truth that frankly I could do without. Remember, this is simply a theory. A thinking exercise if you will. But also remember the quote at the top of this article. Do you have a better theory as to why our people were left to die?
