What Do Longoria, Clooney and Obama Have In Common?

Oh, what a difference a hit TV show, or a string of hit movies, or just a cushy government job (where you don’t really have to work, and get to fly around on private planes) makes for Liberals.

Once upon a time all three of the above mentioned folks came from “modest beginnings” and didn’t have mountains of dough to do whatever they wanted to do. In fact, once upon a time they were all like you and me. Well, at least monetarily (I can’t imagine any of them were ever conservatives). In fact, Clooney is from Kentucky hill country, Longoria is the daughter of Mexican Americans from Corpus Christi, TX, and Obama is (very likely) a Kenyan born man with two communist parents, his father a black Kenyan national and his mother a white US Citizen.

Nowadays, you can find Clooney in his Italian mansion when he isn’t in Hollywood making $20 million per move. When he’s on set, he spends his days in a million dollar RV that has all the comforts of home-big screen TV, Wi-Fi, the whole nine yards. Same thing for Eva Longoria: her giant salary for Desperate Housewives was more than most make in a lifetime. She had the same wonderful on-set lifestyle as Clooney. When you are a big-time actor, you get waited on hand and foot 24/7. Most of the major stars have between 1 and 5 “personal assistants,” who are really more like slaves. They do the grocery shopping, gas the car, and pay all the bills. These folks don’t buy their gas. They don’t know that it costs $150 bucks to fill their Range Rovers and Bentleys. They don’t know that its north of $1.69 for a pound of apples (2 large apples). Nor do they know how the “other half” lives. They are too far removed from their former lives that included summer jobs mucking horse stalls and delivering pizzas.

Mr. Obama is even worse. He lives in a $100 million mansion that is paid for by American Taxpayers. He travels in a motorcade of no less than 10 cars, all bulletproof, all of which get about 6 miles per gallon. When he travels greater distances, it’s either on his $30 million military helicopter, or on Air Force 1, a multi hundred million dollar private 747 replete with a Presidential command center and anti-missile technology. And when he flies around in that bad boy outside the US, he has fighter jet escorts. He has a chef or two at the White House and about 50 “servants.” He maintains a security force of more than 150 at the White House and when he travels it gets even bigger. Before being in the White House, he lived in a mansion on the south side of Chicago in a neighborhood where Louis Farrakhan and Bill Ayers live. I’ve been there. My Rheumatologist who is the father of an actor friend of mine, lives on the same block as all of the above. The house, which includes land gifted to Mr. Obama by convicted felon Tony Rezko, is a multimillion dollar home on today’s market, and had many more bedrooms than the Obama’s needed.

These folks are far removed from the reality that Americans live daily. The most oft used term for liberals like this is “Limousine Liberals.” They are the “let them eat cake” crowd in our country. They feign caring about the unwed welfare mother with 5 children by 3 fathers, but in reality, they don’t give a damn. They want power, and with the power, the special privilege that comes with it. They can walk into any restaurant in America or Europe and get their meal comped. They are asked for autographs wherever they go. Some of them are even paid 5 and 6 figure sums to show up at nightclub openings. It is a life of entitlement most would only dream of. So, what makes them think they can empathize or sympathize with the little guy in “flyover country?” And moreover, what makes people like Clooney, Longoria, and other Hollywood dolts think that their opinion of the political climate means a hill of beans to those of us with brain cells? It’s a little syndrome called narcissism. And it is something that is required if you are going to be an actor, rock star, or politician.

The narcissists in our world believe themselves to be godly. The fan papers like “People,” and the other rags that follow the every move of Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, and whoever the hell this “Honey Boo Boo” character is, are part of the problem. In our society, we have given those narcissists a permanent fixture on our walls, in our minds, and of course in the political culture. There are paparazzi following these brain surgeons from their yoga classes to their therapists, etc., all day and night 365 days a year. And we (or I should say many Americans) buy the pictures they take, by buying the magazines and websites that publish them. This makes them more narcissistic, and makes them think they really are gods. And therein lies the rub.

At some point, we forgot that the folks on the big and small screens and in politics are just like us. They may have a little more (or a lot more) dough than you and I, but for the most part, they got a little lucky, and ended up at the top of the heap they work in. With politicians, it’s a bit different. I think many of them get into politics to make a difference and get sidetracked. This of course is not the case with Obama. He is an ideologue and has had his mind set on following his grooming and turning the US into a Marxist utopia going back to his childhood. But there are many other politicians who are in it for the right reasons. I think Messer’s’ Romney and Ryan are two guys who fit that bill. Actors on the other hand get into it to be famous. Plain and simple, there is nothing like that first time you see yourself in a movie, or when your friends call you daily because your Budweiser commercial is running. It is a charge and a feeling of stardom that really is addicting.

The thought of Movie Stars instilling “sage” advice to the masses about who to vote for is hilarious to me, primarily because I know a whole bunch of movie stars, and frankly most of them need their assistants to help them find matching socks in the morning. Most of them couldn’t write a one page essay about our system of civics in the US. Most of them couldn’t name the Speaker of the House or the Majority Leader of the Senate, yet they want to tell you and me how to vote. And frankly, it’s because they are so detached from reality. To them, the President is the leader of social issues in America. They are concerned about their friends and colleagues who are gay being able to marry. They have no idea what abortion is, how it is performed, or what it does to a woman’s body. But they want women to have the right to have abortions, because that is what their ideologue friends tell them they should think, even though, it isn’t the woman’s body that is being murdered-it is the body of another human being who happens to live there for 9 months. They don’t understand Economics-not even the smallest economic theorem. They have “people” take care of their dough, their contracts, their house and electric bill payments. They are totally detached from reality, as they don’t live in reality. They are entitled to it all, because they make so much money for the studios and distributors. They are placed on a pedestal by the fans, and by the accountants of the studios. They get free food, booze, cars, and airplane rides. They think that is normal. And they could give a damn less if you or I eat, as long as we keep paying for movies. And frankly, television and movies are for the most part recession proof. People need to escape, especially in hard economic times. And they will always escape by watching Iron Man or Batman, or Brad Pitt being a gladiator, because it makes them forget the dire straits they are in because of the idiots that those movie stars helped to elect.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a lot of friends in Hollywood still. Many of them I love dearly. But most of the rest of the folks in that business, I wouldn’t want as neighbors-especially Clooney and Longoria! Anyone who thinks that Mr. Obama is a safe bet for 4 more years has never read history, and doesn’t care if you and I can pay for those movie tickets or the cable bill any more. And never mind folks more militant than them, like Sean Penn who campaigned for Hugo Chavez. I wouldn’t live in the same town as that guy lest psychosis is contagious!

That leaves Mr. Obama; a man who has never held a real job (unless you count screeching into a bullhorn and handing out flyers at union halls), never run a business (unless you count telling GM which cars to build), and never made a real decision. Valerie Jarrett is the defacto President. Mr. Obama 86′d the Osama Bin Laden raid multiple times. He ran roughshod over due process in Congress, helping to ram through without proper public knowledge and discourse, the Obamacare bill. If you look up “out of touch” or “detached” in the dictionary there’s probably a picture of Mr. Obama there.

You can listen to Lefty Hollywood when they talk about politics, as long as you remember they are not college grads for the most part, don’t know the difference between a democracy and our democratic republic, and most of them barely made it out of high school. As long as you remember those facts, you will always take their opinion with a grain of salt, or something a little stronger like a shot of vodka, and vote the opposite. As for Obama, he is a petulant little narcissist who never had the experience to be POTUS, and still doesn’t, as he has been absent from work for four years. How’s that for entitled?
