Support HR 217 Defund Planned Parenthood

Isn’t it interesting that as taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood increases so do the number of abortions they perform? Their annual report just released showed a record number of abortions in the fiscal year 2011-12 and coincidentally their federal funding reached an all-time high as well.

Abortions make up more than 92 percent of their services while prenatal care and adoption referrals account for less than 8 percent. By their own account, 45 percent of their revenue is from our tax dollars. Now they are even mandating that all their affiliates perform abortions.

Abortion is not healthcare and I applaud Rep. Diane Black for reintroducing HR 217 to defund Planned Parenthood. Americans do not want any tax money going to the nation’s largest promoter and provider of abortions. I congratulate Rep. Black for her strong defense of the sanctity of human life and encourage everyone to support this effort to defend life.
