BREAKING: Boston Marathon Explosions; Several Injured
There is little to confirm at this point except that at least one explosion occurred today at or near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Reports are varied, but several are said to be injured and the pictures are pretty unsettling. What is not known at this point is what caused this or these explosions. It is far too early to speculate as to the what’s or why’s. Twitter reacted to the events in real time.

DEVELOPING: The Boston Marathon headquarters has been locked down after two explosions were reported near the finish line, a spokesman told Reuters.
Witnesses reportedly heard two booms near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel that sounded like two claps of thunder.
The Associated Press says there are reports of injuries.
