Today the largest (in physical size, anyway) petition ever presented to Congress was unveiled to the House of Representatives by Congressman Steve Stockman, thus launching a renewed call for the House to create a Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi debacle.
This may well be a game changer!
Liberty Counsel Action has been calling on Congress to establish a Select Committee for months to fully investigate the Benghazi attacks – moving far beyond the well-known fact that the Obama administration lied to the American people and is covering up the truth about the attack that killed four Americans and injured many more.
I am calling for all Americans concerned with learning the truth about the Benghazi massacre to renew their commitment to persevere and take further meaningful action today. Please see my very important message below – Mat.
Congressman Steve Stockman is fed up with the roadblocks to uncovering the truth about the Benghazi massacre. He is not alone! Now, both Stockton and Liberty Counsel Action are taking aggressive action!
Last week, Congressman Stockton filed a discharge petition last week to force a vote of the U.S. House on establishing a Select Committee to investigate the Sept. 11, 2012 killings of four Americans by terrorists – and to gain access to the testimonies of the survivors and other witnesses.
Speaker Boehner and other members of the congressional leadership have balked at establishing a Select Committee.
Today, Representative Stockman formally announced his discharge petition on the House Ceremonial Stairway. It contains the signatures of 1,000 Special Operations veterans demanding a House Select Committee to investigate the Benghazi Terrorist Attacks.
The dramatic unrolling of the 60-foot long petition/scroll down the House Ceremonial Stairway is the opening volley in a nationwide campaign urging House members to sign Congressman Stockman’s discharge petition, thus forcing the House of Representatives to consider HR 36 – the bill to establish a Select Committee to fully investigate the Benghazi Massacre.
++This event and petition could finally open the door for true progress in the Benghazi investigations!
I am asking all Liberty Counsel patriots to stand with Representative Stockman, those 1000 Special Operations veterans, and the families of the victims.
We are demanding action from congressional leadership! A Select Committee must be empowered to ask all of the right questions – about the events leading up to the attack – about the actions taken during the massacre – and about the post-event deceiving of the American people.

There are at least four House committees investigating the attacks, all operating within the scope of their limited authority. We are demanding a Select Committee with ALL the needed authority!
I believe Benghazi-gate will blow wide open in spite of the Obama/Clinton wish that it would just go away – if Congress investigates with the full empowerment of a Select Committee.
