RNC Resolution On Immigration DOES NOT Support Path To Citizenship

Now that the RNC has made a commitment on immigration legal
and illegal, let us see how many Republicans will follow the resolution. The
RNC has set a high standard for Congress and the Obama Administration if they
can rise to the task.

If the RNC can admit that we don’t have a well-functioning program for legal immigration, then how can they place so much blame on the hardworking people who’ve come here illegally? Those people are just acting rationally in the face of a disfunctioning immigration system. Many of these people are highly motivated individuals who’ve come to the US illegally to better themselves. Some of them have been living and working here raising children and contributing to our society for decades. It’s incredible simplisitic and furthermore BAD FOR AMERICA not to allow these people to ever have citizenship. The gov’t works best when it stays out of people’s lives and allows them to better themselves. I thought that’s was something that the republican party was supposed to stand for.
