Senator Bill Seitz was recently honored with the U.S. Chamber of Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) 2013 State Legislative Achievement Award.
Purpose: To eliminate intermediate political parties and to revise the processes for determining political party status and for establishing new political parties and to declare an emergency.
This bill was introduced in the Ohio Senate on 9/19/2013. SB193 made its way through three committee hearings before the Senate passed the bill on 10/08/2013. It was referred to the Ohio House on 10/08.
SB193 then made its way through three more committee hearings and was passed on 10/30/2013. In less than 30 working days, Senator Seitz (R) was able to pass a bill that severely limits voter and candidate participation unless you are a registered R or D.
This bill makes it virtually impossible for 3rd party, minor party or independent candidates and voters to participate in Ohio elections; including primaries. Combined with the gerrymandering of the Ohio districts, this one bill insures that November’s elections are but a formality. The R or D candidate favored by the redistricting debacle will certainly win. The two major parties which, in all reality, are one, have solidified total control of Ohio’s election process. From the office of the Secretary of State, the local Boards of Elections to the poll workers, all representing the two headed snake.
This is one of the reasons that I call these career politicians “Republicrats”! Members of both parties, working together, to suppress voters and candidates unless they “belong”.
