A Quirky Product Review: Poppit – “Chop & Top”

Poppit stores your leftover fruit and veggie halves with a whole lot of love. Its concentric layers provide a tight seal on exposed produce, from onions to apples. Simply push a halved fruit or vegetable into Poppit’s surface, and one of its silicone rings will expand to accommodate its size automatically. When you’re done using it, pop Poppit in the dishwasher for a quick cleanse. Poppit comes two in a pack. With an extra topper always on hand, you can chop into more fruits and veggies.

I’m a big fan of Poppit. We drink a lot of lemon/lime water at our house. Because we generally use half of the lemon/lime per glass, we used to waste a ziplock bag each time we made some. We now use Poppit every time we cut into a lemon/lime. This is just one area where Poppit made things a bit easier for us. We utilize Poppit for any fruit or vegetable we slice, of course, but I’ve recently found another use that’s helpful, too. A few days ago, I opened a can of Bush’s Vegetarian Baked Beans but ultimately only ate a small portion of  them. Instead of dumping the leftovers into a plastic container, I just turned the larger of the two Poppit toppers upside down and placed it over the top of the bean can.  Not its intended use, but it worked brilliantly.
