From Putting A Man On The Moon To…. This

What a difference 45 years makes. Little did I know as a wee little infant that our country would go from putting a man on the moon to a nation that elects an inexperienced politician, based more on his skin color and charisma than his resume, to the highest office in the land. Little did I know that we would go from “If we can do that, we can do anything” to a nation with a massive, obese federal government that has dissolved our borders, angered our allies, and emboldened our enemies.

Remember how 45 years ago we were suddenly able to say: “If we can send a man to the moon, why can’t we (fill in the blank)”? If only we could say the same today….

Today, despite all the technological advances, a calcified NASA has spent nearly a decade just trying to build an updated version of the Apollo command module, with a manned mission at least six more years away.

Read the whole depressing thing. Little did I know coming of age in the 80′s and 90′s that the best years for the United States were behind us. Now instead of leading the world on anything, we’re more concerned with gay marriage, pot legalization, free birth control and celebrity gossip, all the while more and more Americans and illegal immigrants are becoming dependent on the government for their survival.

So much for putting a man on the moon. Now we’re lucky if we can hitch a ride into space with people whose leaders want to destroy us.
