Have Astronomers Found God? Yes, but they are a little late!

Summary: Science has put men on the moon and offers many answers, but it lacks answers to the meaning of life, how we got here, and where we’re going. The best answers have their source in the all-time best-seller that we tend to overlook.

Science believes the universe exploded into being at a certain moment and it asks, What cause produced this effect? Who or what put the matter and energy there? Was it created out of nothing, or was it gathered together from pre-existing materials? Science seems to draw blanks to these questions…

Robert Jastrow writes that science will probably never be able to raise the curtain on the mystery of Creation. “For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.” NY Times, June 25, 1978.

As a person with three degrees in science, I believe the above scenario is true, not just for astronomy, but every branch of true science. The marvels of cellular biology and DNA convinced even Anthony Flew, famed atheist, that it could not happen by chance. The pleochroic halos of nuclear physics offer irrefutable proof of an instantaneous creation, explained at halos.com These are just a couple examples of God lurking in the shadows of human theory.

But the story will end in even a worse nightmare for political leaders worldwide who, in their push for world dominion and a New World Order, seem oblivious to how the story ends in the Bible.

Yes, they will be their moment in the limelight and Revelation 13 says no man can buy or sell unless he goes along with the system. Psalm 2 offers these insights:

Why do the heathen rage and the peope imagine a vain thing. The kings of the earth set themselves and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His anointed. But God gets the last laugh. “He that sits in the heavens shall laugh; the LORD shall have them in derision.”

Like the theologians already at the mountain top before the scientists, the book of Revelation is about the last acts in the drama that is even now beginning. If you are doubtful, you owe it to hear the facts from a great witness putting his life in jeopardy.
