My Wife is the Most Wonderful Woman in the World!

I think I have finally convinced the wife into switching our phones to Ting. We both need new phones and have decided on  two Samsung Galaxy S’s. She told me that she would go ahead and order them if I was to write a post about how wonderful she is. So this is that post. 

Some history

I met my wife around 11 years ago. She was a neighbor and I would joke with my friend that she was my girlfriend but didn’t know it yet. I never had the balls to go ask her out. She was way too hot for me. So my friend’s wife thought she would play matchmaker and invited her to one of our cook outs. We all had a few beers and wine coolers, I had a few more beers than everyone else and the liquid courage kicked in. I asked her out. Surprisingly she said yes even though she was the one that was sober and I was the one that was lambasted, dance on the tables drunk. I actually went to her house a few days later when I was sobered up to make sure I was remembering her answer correctly.

I knew from the start that this girl was a keeper. Not only was she smart but she has good common sense. She can also hold her own in the smart ass department. Always having a good comeback to any comment or statement rates very high in the keeper category. Ask any guy and he will say it isn’t but trust me it is. And to top it off she is a very beautiful woman. The kind that walks into a room and men turn their heads and women shoot the death rays. So I knew that if this woman was to be mine I had to actively pursue her and woo her with all I had.

I took all that I learned from my mother and sisters growing up. They were excellent teachers. I would leave notes on her door while she was at work. I would mow her yard including the flowers she had planted (still living that one down). Wash her truck, did her dishes, did her laundry and just basically pampered the crap out of her. Yes, I worked my ass off to get her and it worked. I ended up with a beautiful family that I love and cherish everyday and everything I do is for her and the kids.

She saved my life

Her name is Michelle but I call her Babydoll. She loves teddy bears and collects them. She is beautiful, thoughtful, generous and a great mother of two. She is my world and I am truly lucky to have such a woman as her in my life. In fact I would go so far as to say she saved my life. At the point I was in my life I was interested in partying and trucking. I had lived in a truck for the previous 15+ years and the sedimentary lifestyle was beginning to take hold. I had high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes had started to kick in. Plus all the alcohol from the week end parties wasn’t helping things either. She made me want to stay home and find a local job. One where I didn’t have to sleep in a truck. So I did and I am very glad she made me do it.

I sometimes sit and think what my life would be like if I hadn’t borderline stalked her. I am willing to bet that it would have had one of two outcomes. One I would be stuck on Obamacare and sucking on the government teat because of being disqualified from obtaining a CDL. Sitting around watching The View and daytime soaps. Or I would be dead either from passing out while driving due to high blood sugar or dying outside a bar from alcohol poisoning. So yeah I think it’s safe to say that she saved my life by becoming my life.

She is my passion, She is my world, She is my life.
