The Wall of Leftism

Speaking in Berlin on June 12, 1987 President Reagan called on world leaders to: ´´Tear down this wall! ´´. For many nations, the fall of Berlin Wall symbolized drawing the Iron Curtain open and downfall of communist regimes.

 The emblem of division was also known as the ´´Wall of Shame´´ (the term used by Willi Brandt), and GDR propaganda called it ´´Antifaschistischer Schutzwall´´: the Anti-Fascist Protective Wall´´. Interestingly, nowadays the term ´´fascist´´ is generously attributed by the leftists to all kinds of dissidents-no matter if people dare to protest opening the flood gates to refugees or opening the door to the ladies´ room to whomever and for whatever reason considers himself a lady.

The left-wingers seem too busy hurling ´´Nazi´´ insults at ´´the extreme right´´ to remember that Hitler´s party was actually called: ´´Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei´´ which translates into: National Socialist German Workers´ Party.

In the recent years the left has constructed a monument to their abuse of power, much bigger than the border which used to divide Eastern and Western Germany. Although spectral, the Wall of Leftism stretches internationally in arrogant and blatant disrespect to culture, religion and values of the ´´captured´´ territories. We can also see a more modern and ´´utilitarian´´ approach to the ideological and economic gulag – dissidents are not even sent there, as it incorporates their own countries, and if they try to emigrate they have an option of the same gulag abroad.

Following the example of pharaohs who had pyramids built by their humble subjects, modern tax-payers are forced to pick up the tab for the cost of construction of the monument to leftist reign, paying for government´s projects, no matter how revolting, morally wrong or idiotic.

The Wall of Leftism was built to be anti-protest, and law- proof: the manifestations of fed up citizens are muffled by the rulers´ media, and treasonous acts of oligarchs are exonerated.

 If the monument was to corporealize, it would be as atrocious as Tzompantli –Mesoamerican skull rack, because millions of people lost their once-in-a-life-time opportunity for a decent job and humane living condition. While coolly throwing best years of citizens´ lives and their potential into a costly ´´ global warming´´ garbage can, the reigning administration nonchalantly mentions ´´some lost generations´´ and kids who will pay their insane debts.

Robert F. Kennedy once said: ´´Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.´´

Even if the leftists remain in the state of self-persuasive narcissism and self-hypnosis, repeating mantra´´ Brexit is not the end of our world´´, it won´t change the fact that Brexit is a ripple of truth and a ripple of hope.

How solid is the Wall of Leftism and how popular are Obama and his disciples these days? Quoting Nigel Farage : ´´Britons voted for Brexit, because Obama told them not to´´. No matter how guarded by the mainstream media the wall lets out signs of erosion: International Monetary Fund sees both Euro currency and EU on the brink of collapse.

While vast majority of Europeans will find passing a kidney stone a more pleasurable version of listening to political speeches of failed demagogues, Barack Obama continues to preach to the world. As reported by the Associated Press (July 8th, 2016) during his recent visit to Poland, Obama expressed concern about the state of democracy there, and lectured: “I expressed to President Duda our concerns about certain actions and the impasse around Poland’s constitutional tribunal.”

Isn´t it hillary-ious, that Obama worries about Polish tribunal while nations of the world has witnessed in utter shock and disbelief the ongoing ´´e-mail exoneration´´? Talking about Obama´s worries about the state of democracy, he was probably advised not to wear Che Guevara adorned t-shirt in Poland; ´´World Socialist Website´´ is sobbing too: ´´Article 13 of Poland’s Constitution of 1997 as well as article 256 of the penal code already bans political parties and organizations that make a reference to totalitarian methods and practices of Nazism, fascism and communism as well as those propagating racial and ethnic hatred or violence. Nazism, fascism, communism and racism are intentionally mentioned in the same breath as if they were synonyms.´´ How are they not?

In his interminable ´´Remarks in address to the people of Europe´´ (April 25^th Hannover), Obama thanked German Chancellor for what fed up Europeans define as chaos in their countries and kept reminding to the jobless and the overtaxed about´´ A creeping emergence of the kind of politics that the European project was founded to reject — an “us” versus “them” mentality that tries to blame our problems on the other, somebody who doesn’t look like us or doesn’t pray like us — whether it’s immigrants, or Muslims, or somebody who is deemed different than us.´´ Undoubtedly ,the botched lullaby caused a few more cracks in the Wall of Leftism.

Back home, the electoral song of the wall´s architects is still ´´Let´s rig again´´, but it does not mean that we the people will agree to dance to their music. The words of President Reagan are timelessly and internationally ominous: ´´This wall will fall. For it cannot withstand faith; it cannot withstand truth. The wall cannot withstand freedom.´´
