Does the DACA Deal Include the Wall, Or Not?

Conservatives are livid. The thing that got Donald J. Trump elected was his hard-line stance on the illegal alien issue, and the call for a wall. Trump’s passion for stopping illegal aliens from coming into this country without going through proper immigration protocols is a large part of what filled the stadiums with ravenous supporters. ”Build that Wall! Build that Wall!” was a common chant at campaign rallies and pro-Trump events. While the Hillary Clinton supporters called Trump’s stance on immigration “racist,” the billionaire’s followers demand that it’s all about enforcing existing immigration laws not only for the sake of adhering to the rule of law, but also for the sake of national security.

When President Ronald Reagan was President of the United States, he agreed to a “one-time” amnesty deal if the Democrats would be willing to vote for funding to secure the border. The agreement was made, amnesty was granted, and the Democrats reneged on their promise of border security.

Now, we have Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, after dining with President Trump at a meeting the Republicans were not invited to, claiming they have made a deal with Trump over Obama’s “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” (DACA), and the compromise does not include the wall at the border.

Donald Trump says otherwise.

The confusion only exists among the ranks of the mainstream media, and those who haven’t been truly paying attention. The Democrats lie, and the enemies of liberty deceive, so why should we believe Schumer and Pelosi when they say they made a deal with Trump, and it doesn’t include the wall?

Remember, it was President Ronald Reagan, after being burned a couple times by lying Democrats, who came up with the “trust, but verify” mantra.

Isn’t protecting DACA the same as giving amnesty to the kids of illegal aliens, and in turn, since they are all family, giving amnesty to the whole brood?

Trump says, “no.”

Besides, why even make a deal with Democrats?

Political strategists say the wheeling and dealing is necessary to make it possible to have conversations on tax reform and trade. Republicans are pretty angry over the reported deal, calling it “Unbelievable!”, leaving Trump’s support base “blown up, destroyed, irreparable, and disillusioned beyond repair.” Conservatives, on queue, slammed the agreement.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders indicated the wall was not a part of the deal.

“While DACA and border security were both discussed, excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to,” she tweeted.

Democrats say otherwise.

“The President made clear he would continue pushing the wall, just not as part of this agreement,” tweeted Matt House, Schumer’s communications director.

Trump began his Thursday morning by announcing that a deal was not made with regard to DACA.

“No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote,” he tweeted, adding, “The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built.”

Yet. . .

“Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!” Trump said in the first of his next two tweets. “They have been in our country for many years through no fault of their own — brought in by parents at young age. Plus BIG border security.”

The Democrats said the proposal for border security that was discussed included “new technology, drones, air support, sensor equipment, rebuilding roads along the border” and existing congressional legislation – rather than a wall.

Trump said he wants to get “massive border security” and that he believes both Pelosi and Schumer are on board. He also said the trio is “fairly close” on such an arrangement.

In short, Trump is willing to give amnesty for border security just like Reagan was. . . the question is, will he demand that the wall is built as soon as possible so as to beat the Democrats before their lie emerges, and they renege on their end of the deal?
