An Overdue Gaslighting Bill

During an interview with 77 WABC Radio´s Rita Cosby (November 17, 2017), Hillary Clinton called for investigation of sexual misdemeanors, allegedly committed by Donald Trump.             

“We have a man, who´s accused of sexual assault sitting in the Oval Office, don´t we?” moralized Hillary, as if unaware that for millions of people over the world, Oval Office will forever be synonymous with Bill Clinton´s routines.

As usual in classical Clintonian gaslighting, the former Secretary of State overused the strategy of denial, and tried to misdirect Cosby´s remarks from Bill´s shadowy past. Hillary Clinton said: «Well, I don´t know if we can´t rewrite and revise the history” and went on trying to do exactly that, multiplying attempts to delegitimize common knowledge. In line with the principle “If I want your opinion I will give it to you”, and in order to improve our mental capacity of retaining the facts she selects for us (naturally in disfavor of President Trump), Hillary Clinton used terms such as “very credible allegations” when referring to Trump´s hypothetical “sexual assaults”. Very different wording was used to put Bill Clinton´s documented and sickening history – Hillary Clinton suggested that is “not a distraction we should fall for.”

What should we fall for?

Whenever it´s time to provide facts or numbers Hillary Clinton escapes in vagueness; While talking to Rita Cosby she mentions “more than a dozen women who have made charges against President Trump”, in an interview for ND TV (September 21, 2017) she whines about “questions that should be raised about the legitimacy of the election” and her arguments come in a blurred shape of “a thousand of Russian agents “and “tens of thousands of bots.” https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/full-transcript-of-hillary-clintons-interview-with-ndtv-1753521

While making some very serious allegations against American President, Hillary Clinton clings to her shield of “personal opinion”, just in case someone would actually ask her to prove it, or simply demanded that she takes responsibility for her own words.

Clinton said women who have spoken out against Trump should not be “overlooked or forgotten” but it can pass for compassion, only if someone chooses to” misremember “the way she treated women very literally handpicked by her husband. Kathleen Wiley said: “This is no longer about Bill Clinton´s transgressions or his infidelities or girlfriends or sex…it´s not about that anymore. Juanita Broaddrick has also made a comment following the mainstream media selective hysteria over Trump´s Access Hollywood comments:”Mr.Trump may have said some bad words, but Bill Clinton raped me, and Hillary Clinton threatened me.I don´t think there´s any comparison.”

 If we listen to Hillary Clinton: “The Republicans are led by a man who admitted to sexually assaulting women. He bragged about it. And if we’re going to encourage women to have the courage to be heard we can’t excuse the president from this debate.”

To paraphrase her: Hillary Clinton is a life-long partner to a man who has a long and documented history of sexual misdemeanors. He publicly lied about it. Both spouses are not strangers to abuse of power and keep insulting our intelligence.  And if we are going to encourage changes we can´t excuse them from accountability.
