Considering the controversy that mentioning God has caused among Democrats in the past, it should come as no surprise that members of the party are not fond of the motto “In God we trust.” Since there are people who deny the existence of God, there must be no public references to God, because “inclusion.”

“In God We Trust” was not on our currency until the 50s.
Much as I defend Christianity to the hilt, I full well realize we live in a secular society in which our constitution declares that congress will make no laws regarding religion.
I full well realize my right to be a practicing Christian in this country also extends to those who wish to have no religion, and for my right to be guaranteed I must also recognize the rights of those who wish not to.
This doesn’t even consider that “In God We Trust” on our currency is a lie. Our entire economic system is based on usery, and is very much diametric to the economy God describes for His people in the Levitical law and other places.
Trying to impose religion on those who reject it doesn’t win people over. It just gives God a bad name.
