Liberal PAC: Take Out Steve Scalise

Remember the absurd accusations that surveyor symbols/crosshairs on a map on Sarah Palin’s website indicating vulnerable Democrat seats somehow caused Jared Loughner, a schizophrenic of liberal inclinations, to go on a psychotic shooting spree that resulted in Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ) being severely wounded? There was no reason to think Loughner had ever seen the map, much less that he was motivated by it, yet liberals worked themselves into conniptions of self-righteousness as they blamed Sarah Palin for the violence. Years later, the New York Times finally admitted that claims of incitement by Republicans were a lie.

Remember when Bernie Sanders volunteer James Hodgkinson gunned down Rep. Steve Scalise for explicitly political purposes? Scalise was left in critical condition and easily might have died but miraculously recovered. No one blamed Sanders for the violence. Ironically, Sanders had raised money by blaming Sarah Palin for Jared Loughner, even though there was no connection whatsoever.

In light of the Loughner and Hodgkinson incidents, consider the propriety of a liberal PAC calling for liberals to “take out Scalise”:

The homepage of Mad Dog PAC’s website has a photo of the proposed billboard with a link asking site-goers for donations.

The billboard yells, “VOTE HIM OUT!” but text superimposed on it originally read, “TAKE OUT SCALISE.”

The group also screams that Trump should be impeached for whatever reason, and that the NRA is a “terrorist organization” for defending the Constitution.

Mad Dog PAC chairman Claude Taylor told The Ledger that his group was planning to “toss mortars” at the other side.

So much for all the sanctimonious chiding from liberals after Loughner went berserk about how inflammatory rhetoric causes violence.
