Facebook Employees Rebel Against Liberal Monoculture

Human Resources has fallen down on the job at Facebook. The company has unwittingly hired people who are not militant moonbats. Needless to say, the rebels don’t fit in with the corporate culture. This came to light when a post entitled “We Have a Problem with Political Diversity” appeared on an internal message board:

“We are a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views,” Brian Amerige, a senior Facebook engineer, wrote in the post, which was obtained by The New York Times. “We claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack — often in mobs — anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology.”

Since the post went up, more than 100 Facebook employees have joined Mr. Amerige to form an online group called FB’ers for Political Diversity, according to two people who viewed the group’s page and who were not authorized to speak publicly. The aim of the initiative, according to Mr. Amerige’s memo, is to create a space for ideological diversity within the company.

This may sound like a group of penguins striving to set up ice rinks in the Arizona desert, but their brave efforts deserve the highest praise.

The liberal reaction was predictable: Shut up, you racists!

The new group has upset other Facebook employees, who said its online posts were offensive to minorities.

When squids feel threatened, they squirt ink. Moonbats start barking about racism.

Not everyone in the tech industry happens to be a flaming leftist, and not everyone is weak enough to go along with a herd of fools that is plunging off a cliff into insanity. Alternatives to the liberal monoculture will arise, either alongside or from within the current establishment. This is a reason to hold off on government intervention as a fix to Big Tech’s liberal bias.
